Thanx Kimberlei - so you just pretty much multiply whats outside the brackets to whats inside the brackets and thats expanding - makes more sence now for the general course do we just need to know how to simplify and expand?

i kinda get the basics like adding or subtracting like terms... and all that its the larger ones that confuse me heres a couple 1) 3x(2x-4y)-2y(4y-6x) = 2) 3z(y-2z)+4y(2y+z) = much apreciated :)

anyone else finding algebra and equations hard to understand?? can anyone explain some simple basics??
