Look theres no need to apologise, I understand where your coming from and there is a general misinterpretation with the position that Turkey is in in comparison to other muslim countries.. I've had countless arguments concerning this and what bugs me is that the muslim part of the argument think...

I wouldn't judge Turkish people by the majority of Turks here, I think its a pretty poor represenatation and it was quite a shock when I went to Turkey myself. But your right in saying that Ataturk was not ALL for the people, however he did in my opinion do a good job of bringing the people...
