IBP Assessment 1: Wicked problem essay HELP!!!

You only have one question to answer. Last year ours had two parts and a 600 word limit. Start by introducing your topic and what it is about. Then introduce the concept of a wicked problem and what they are, remembering to quote references. After you have done that, relate the concept of a...

» UTS 26100 IBP tutor Suzanne

You are better off spending your tutorial time working on your silly assignment they assign to you with your other group members - you won't be doing anything constructive in your tutorials. You wouldn't be able to use the same essay for the one they give you this semester because they will...

» UTS 26100 IBP tutor Suzanne

It's painfully bad.....they really should not have scrapped macroeconomics from the core subjects and definitely should not have implemented this subject.

» UTS 26100 IBP tutor Suzanne

You have to go through that subject again? What a pain - I would literally change uni's than sit thru that rubbish for another semester. Wicked Problem.....PFFT!!!!!!

    When to buy books?

The lecturer explains in great detail everything you need to know about contract law for the final exam (IN WEEKS 12 & 13). He was the only good lecturer out of the many they have for that subject. Paul was his name. You can read the Barron text book on contract law but it is so detailed you...

    Turn up to any tutorial

They would probably turn you away and tell you to go to the one you are enrolled in..... If you want to go to a particular tutorial, why don't you just enrol in that one?

is anyone else feeling LOST at uni?

I felt this way in my first semester last year. I was trying to summarise the lecture notes and the text and found myself writing pages and pages of useless information. I know the feeling of the lectures sometimes talking about strange content - usually it's because I have become disinterested...

My cousin got into the wrong course

I'm doing business part time and if I want to I can enrol in more than 2 subjects. I actually find it odd that they have two separate cut off marks for the same course based on whether it is part time or not. They actually used to make the part time cut off mark higher than the full time.

Advice to future Bachelor of Business students at UTS

And when you get in the real world, you will use about 5% of what you learnt at uni but you need that piece of paper to get a job. Unfortunately but fortunately for me, I have to do 2 subjects a semester because I work full time in funds management and I like to party too much on weekends. But...

Bachelor of Business or Business/International Studies

Hahaha, getting 20 out of 20 for an easy multiple choice citizenship test is nothing to brag about. Then again, i'm so Aussie I probably wouldn't even pass that test. University medal? Wow, don't set your goals too high, you failed Accounting A (I got 95 lol and i'm a borderline alcoholic) and...

Bachelor of Business or Business/International Studies

I laugh every time I read your comments. You're not Australian are you? But you aren't an international student because you foolishly only study one subject a semester. So where are you from? You also have no idea about the big bad world of adulthood and working for companies. That plus uni...

Bachelor of Business Course Structure 2013

Most students like to enjoy their holidays, plus uni isn't that hard. The majority don't spend all their waking life studying one subject like you in the false hope of one day being a company director - that which you will not become.

Advice to future Bachelor of Business students at UTS

WTF? This is some of the stoopidest advice I have ever heard of. Why the hell would you want to take 12 years to do your degree? You have a snowflakes chance in hell of becoming CEO of MQG or Goldman's. I work full-time for one of the largest fund managers in the country and I study two subjects...

    BBA102+tutor

I had Sheri as my tutor. Some marks I got for the group journal summaries was a low credit but that's the problem with group work - you suffer if you have lazy gimps in yours. I ended up going into the final exam with an 87%. You don't need to study for the final exam because you have your cheat...

Found the UTS email Settings for iPhone, iPad!!

OMG, what a completely long winded waste of time that video is. To setup on iPhone just select new mail account in the settings menu and choose the Hotmail option. Username is 00012345@student.uts.edu.au and then put your password in. You obviously use your own student number and call it...

    Transferring out of Macq

I got an offer yesterday to go to UTS and so will be transferring out of Macquarie. Who do I have to speak to at Macquarie though to get my current enrolment with them cancelled so I can transfer out of there? Please tell me I don't need to make the long train trip out there again to speak to...

    Buy and Sell thread

Having just finished the two subjects below, I am wanting to sell my texts: Marketing 2nd Edition (Elliott, Rundle-Thiele and Waller). Purchased at Co-op for $122.95, but selling now for $60. Excellent condition, never took to uni. I have only highlighted important information, no writing or...

Go to UAC and check it out. I spoke to them yesterday as well to see how many places they were making available for next semesters intake.
