Really enjoying Yakuza Like a Dragon on XSX.

great question. I can only assume it’s a very finely calculated balancing act. Keep in mind though that the bags are not homogeneous so it’s not always as straightforward as changing price or limiting supply, but I’m sure that someone smarter than me has worked out what volume of sales they want...

For what? I think most luxury brands target annual price increases far beyond inflation.

    Favourite item of clothing

lol no. I was so close to getting one for Christmas a couple years back but decided it wasn’t worthwhile since the watch would be outdated each year and whilst I could reuse the bands, I wouldn’t get the Hermes exclusive watch face... so instead I just got a normal watch and a DSLR :)

And this is why I still wear an Apple Watch :) I just can't bring myself to wear a Rolex (or equivalent)... doesn't feel "me".

Shrug. Varies by store to store and SA to SA. My understanding was you have to know what you want before you go in and be clear on what your preferences are (style/model, size, colours)... and that SAs make no commission on selling the highly desired bags and hence to make the most of their...

    Favourite item of clothing

Correct. There are ways to avoid the usual "suck up to the SA" approach but you'll still be expected to shell out for various addons/accessories if you want to be able to leave with one of the holy trinities. Indeed. I really don't appreciate the way they treat customers/etc and the whole...

One of the OGs on BoS in the early 2000's and contributed a lot of material too... it helped he had a jersey with 'fatmuscle' on it.

I met fatmuscle IRL. That's a real flex.

I assumed it was meant to entice flexing eg. I have Gucci sneakers, I have a Hermes bag, etc... but being a predominantly student forum, I don't know how much flexing there'd be.

Whats the best air fryer out there?

As in how long have I used them? I got hooked on them when I lived in Singapore back in 2015... and started off with just making chips, then over time have tried other things (eg baking cookies, cooking marinated chicken, reheating KFC, etc). The first one lasted until about early 2018 (with...

Wonder if my Yakuza like a dragon will arrive in time for my 8am slot to pick up the Xbox on Tuesday.

    Selective schools debate

I have no idea (and don't even know what those acronyms stand for)... I never really thought much about it (the world was a simpler place?) and I just had to go to various lunch meetings, and do various activities/questions. I got out of going to usual classes though.

    IPT question help

I would've thought counting in base 2 (binary) was something more likely to pop up in a 2u maths paper than IPT!

    Selective schools debate

There's prestige in doing Maths Olympiad? Nah, I just did it because I was the modest 3u student who was invited to do it with all the smarty 4u kids (and I still remember one of them snickering at me asking me if I was in the right place).

Is it too much to ask for a job/career in arts, social science etc etc that pays good, has very good job growth and highly satisfying?

I think it depends on what your job is and the organisation you work for, as well as your own personal circumstances... whilst I haven't had the luxury of a 9-5 job in many years, I don't think I would describe my boss in that way, and I am pretty happy that I can generally pick leave when I...

Is it too much to ask for a job/career in arts, social science etc etc that pays good, has very good job growth and highly satisfying?

For what it's worth, I think Comp Sci is a great choice. Worked with people with Comp Sci backgrounds and they bring a very rational and unique perspective to solving challenges even in my line of work (consulting/banking). Even though Commerce (Acct/Fin) provides a lot of the...

At the end of the day it comes down to what you're passionate about. If you can make something of yourself in any field, you can be a leader. The challenge is how many others are in the same boat trying to do the same thing the pie is only so big, even if you manage to grow it.
