    Homosexuality in Australia

Iron, you know you're fighting a loosing battle right? Never has homosexuality been so visible and openly practising gays so numerous than what they are today. I tell you, spend some time in the inner city or cbd, gays are absolutely EVERYWHERE, Sydney is a homo-fest. Things will not go...

    Homosexuality in Australia

This is because of the bigoted attitudes of juvenile fools though. If you were asian in say 1950's Australia and attended the public school system, you would have had the shit bullied out of you. Times have changed. I guess its only by perserverence that attitudes toward children of gay parents...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Is anyone willing to voice their opinion on this? What if it were your child? We could seriously be facing a situation in the near future where medicine has such capabilities. [From a previous post of mine] "And so the inevitable question is, if a baby was detected as likely to be...

    Homosexuality in Australia

It could be one of the factors though. A combination of factors may act together to shape sexual orientation. Furthermore, different people could have different causes of their sexual orientation. I must say that I too lacked a strong father figure for much of my earlier years. Although I...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Let's try to get some discussion, shall we? I wonder how a homosexual orientation originates? Some theories I've read/heard include: *Pre-natal hormonal imbalance, in particular pertaining to Androgens [e.g. Testosterone) (most plausible in my opinion) *Genetic origination *That gay people...

    Homosexuality in Australia

From what I can tell, he doesn't actually hate homosexuals, just the practise of homosexuality due to his extremely pious word by word adherence to Catholic theology. It's interesting for me because I went to a Catholic school, which included a quite Catholic biased education in SOR II, and much...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Jeez, how are you really coping? It's one thing to express what's happening on the internet, but the reality of it's another. This sucks this kind of shit. I'm lucky I have parents who really couldn't care less. Don't worry about your dad. HE is the one that needs to change! You should probably...

what do people in Canberra do for fun?

Actually, it might actually not be that close on second thought lol. I know that many Canberrans make the weekend trek to Bateman's Bay and the rest of the South Coast though. It looks pretty close on a map.

what do people in Canberra do for fun?

Canberra is actually pretty close to some great beach towns and coastline on the South Coast. It's around 45 minutes to Bateman's Bay. Tip: keep heading south till you hit the Narooma/Dalmeny/Kianga region. It's the best spot on the NSW coast that i'm yet to find. Just beautiful.

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

You can see how it's a move to marginalise minorities and re-inforce his Christian Nation ideological wet dream. It's a hack at multiculturalism, and it's a hack at secular Australia. Reminds me of Menzies...

    Who will you vote for?

Family First? Really? May I ask why? IMO the idea of them in power is far more scary than the Greens.

    Who will you vote for?

Yeah, but the vast majority of downloaders wouldn't do this. They get their downloaded copy and they're set.

    Who will you vote for?

This is so true. Although I am quite against the filter model proposed as it is censorship which blocks out content as the government sees fit, the whole music, video and software piracy thing has gotten COMPLETELY out of hand. It is becoming mainstream thinking that people can just get their...

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

It's widely accepted by most Christians now that the Bible is not to be taken literally, particularly the Old Testament. The Adam and Eve Creation story is a classic cited example of literal intepretation vs. otherwise. I'm not a Christian, btw.

    Who will you vote for?

Sorry I don't have the prestiege that comes with having over 5,000 posts on a random internet forum. You must be real proud.

    Who will you vote for?

If I had to describe my political persuation, it would be socially quite far to the left. Economically i'm more on the fence, and reserve the right for my position to change. I would say that our economic balance is not too bad, although more liberalisation, independence and accountability...

Abbott thinks reading the Bible should be compulsory in schools

This country is getting scary. Internet censorship from the 'left' and now compulsory bible study from the opposition. In my opinion, the current 'Labor' Gov't would be centre right on social policies, and the 'Liberal' Party now approaching the far right with Tony Abbott. If there is any...

    Homosexuality in Australia

No, you are called to accept all homosexuals as worthy of human dignity fullstop. You can't accept their acts (at least according to the established RCC), but you as a Catholic cannot say the dehumanising, and in some cases vile, things about homosexuals which you express on this site. Just like...
