No law degree that I know of assumes or recommends any level of mathematics. Unless you decide to pursue something like Taxation Law courses (which will be electives and not compuslory and typically is more accounting related) it is unlikely that you will touch any mathematics at all.

It is good it encourages people to do some form of exercise.

If they have different locations then it probably also partially location based for which one is "better".

Externals are 50% pf your ATAR so probably best to just focus on smashing this at this stage.

People get 99.95 without 4 unit mathematics, or occasionally with it not counting at all if they have done it.

You can also do that course at another University and transfer or go into a lower course such as Arts within UNSW and transfer if you gain sufficient wam into the course you want to do.
