    BMW X4

I guess looking at what it's up against; Mercees B200 Interior-wise though, the B200 isn't bad given it's not a new design either. BMW interior:

    BMW X4

Gosh that is horrible. I guess it's up against the B Class which I got as the loaner from MB a couple of times... good on them for keeping the hofmeister kink. Looks slightly more masculine than the B IMO. As for X-cars, after driving the X6M quite a bit, I really liked it now! I thought it was...

    Acct1511

I found 1511 bloody hard and it made no sense to me... especially cash flow statements. In hindsight, I struggled with core accounting at uni (i.e. journals, and financial reporting) until I got to the majors where it was more focused on the more interesting aspects (i.e. management accounting)...

My experience with GENS4010 - Science and Religion

I thought I'd google GENS4010 Science and Religion for kicks and funnily enough, various student journals have popped up... all with abrupt stops once it was due for submission :) Here are some if you're curious what the GENS4010 journal could look like. I personally did mine in Word...

My experience with GENS4010 - Science and Religion

That's very true. From what I can tell from more recent students, the structure has not changed significantly in terms of journals, quiz/midsem (broken into two now) and major essay but you're right, the lecturer may have changed. In my time it was Prof Robert Stening. That being said, gen eds...

What I'd think about before going into an interview...

Time to bump an old thread since it'll come in handy soon enough.

My experience with GENS4010 - Science and Religion

Since someone PM'd me asking me i) what the journal is; ii) whether quizzes are done at home; and iii) is there a final. The journal is literally you write something each week on how you've thought about the content and applied it to... something. Modern kids might better liken this concept to...

    Project management

Great response. The thing which this reminds me is it's funny how many concepts I learnt in IPT which I still apply in my professional life as an accountant having to work with various people in IT and help them understand the accounting requirements behind the different stages of software...

    Your budget

I don't bother budgeting. When I was fresh out of high school, I just kept my spending to an absolute minimum, worked out that out of my $2k (ish) net income per month, I had about $500 left over after all my expenses (bus, books, food, savings) and then I rationed it out when I wanted to go...

    Cadetships 2014

I wonder if the slowdown in activity in this thread means it's all over now! (I feel so out of it)

    How to answer this appropriately?

Depends on what the internship is I guess. I'd wager something on opportunities to learn/develop, practical insight into your chosen career path, organisation/firm you want to start your career with, potential longer term goals alignment, opportunity to apply your studies, etc.

How would you list written references on a resume?

Personally, I'd expect there to be available upon request. It's a formality and it is expected that you have them. That being said, if you're applying for jobs out of high school, teachers are fine in my opinion. You can list them (once they've given you permission) if you want- not a deal...

    BMW X4

Haha, it's hard to compare though since the Evo's from that era were hardcore performance imports as opposed to locally available models. After looking at new C Class, I don't know if I"d get the X4 anymore. The dilemmas. I do like the iDrive system however complicated/convoluted it may be.

MGMT2102 Lectures - is attendance marked?

I've never heard of lectures being checked but I was at uni over five years ago.

    New C Class

I think once there's more infrastructure in place for electric cars (heck, even here in NZS there are lots of charging points at least) I'd be keen for it but at this point in time, I prefer the safer choices.

Fifty Shades of Grey Movie - yay!!

As in, I was under the impression the novels just had some physical romance descriptions... did not quite realise it was that full on!

    BMW X4

You'll probably change your mind. I wanted a Mini Cooper as my first car in year 12. Then when it came time to buy, I realised how expensive it was (my parents were paying). Was going to go for an Astra but there was a huge waiting list and then, a new Honda Civic came out (the 8th gen). And...

    New C Class

Depends if it looks like your mum's car or yours IMO. I've seen some nicely modded ones. Alternatively just getting in matte black might do the trick :) As for the Tesla, it does sound juicy but it's all just a bit too unknown for me in terms of long term, resale/residual, etc... Given the...
