Well it means that you can give work your available hours for next semester already. If you book into semester 2 subjects now, then you avoid the risk of your preferred lecture times becoming full. Doesn't really matter whether you enrol in second semester stuff or not.

I had to do STAT170 as part of my handbook instead (professional accounting used to make us do STAT170). I'd probably do ECON111 if you want to maximise GPA/WAM for transfer purposes.

Depending on unit enrollment in the subject then they may add more tutorials or lectures. Not everyone is currently able to register for classes yet.

Travel time is also a pretty important consideration. Also has a nicer bar then UTS but I doubt that will make a difference ;)

If UTS is closer then it is pretty easy to transfer after a year or so.

Business Information Systems units would probably be the most helpful in terms of career usefulness.
