What car do you drive? (the new one)

Since the old thread got lost, I thought it was time to launch a new version of the famous "What car do you drive?" thread. To give it a bit more structure, I suggest (optionally) including some information: MAKE: MODEL: YEAR: LIKES: DISLIKES: FUN FACT/OTHER/MODLIST: PLANS FOR FUTURE...

    accounting

Obviously a fresh grad vs. a CA-qualified (or CPA-qualified) professional will be significantly different; although this could also be down to just years of experience.

That taken from Mazda or from an independent dyno tester? (and is it at the wheel?)

    TRD Prius?!

Source: http://paultan.org/2011/03/25/bangkok-motor-show-trd-sportivo-prius-and-corolla-altis/#more-55752 All I can say is ... o__O" Surely this isn't improving the aerodynamic efficiency/fuel economy so what's the point exactly?! Pointless much?

Whats A Good Looking Car For Pickin Up?

Not a whole lot of performance is on offer to P platers so you may as well look fast.

Whats A Good Looking Car For Pickin Up?

Back on topic, the other cars which are "cool" for P-platers would be the usual BMW coupes/convertibles (I'd go 125i if I was on P's; but the 325i looks hotter) and other luxury cars. Closest thing to sports cars would be a Type R Honda of some sort or the aforementioned S2000 otherwise you'll...

Whats A Good Looking Car For Pickin Up?

I really like the Supra design though... even 10+ years on, it still looks hot (kinda like an RX-7) but with more reliability. Even the NA Supras are built tough so that once you get off P's, if you are so inclined, you can turbocharge it.

Whats A Good Looking Car For Pickin Up?

I'm pretty sure Boxsters aren't allowed for P's but I could be wrong.

Whats A Good Looking Car For Pickin Up?

Not all P Plater friendly and the non-turbo models are slow. I'd rate a DC5 though.

Whats A Good Looking Car For Pickin Up?

Depends on the kind of girl you want to pick up. I was originally going to post 350/370z but then saw P-plate friendly only so I'd say either an Integra or a BMW e46 Coupe e.g. 330Ci, (or e92 if you can afford it)...

Which car? e92 M3 vs. C63 AMG vs. Cayman S

CLC was incredibly shocking. I laugh everytime I see one on the road.

Which car? e92 M3 vs. C63 AMG vs. Cayman S

After the recent track day (brought my manager along) he's now considering the e92 335xi (all-wheel-drive model) as it'll be in snowy Canada and driving on ice in a powerful car isn't necessarily the best idea. It's also only about $53k AUD (i.e. less than half the price of the equivalent 335i...

    Marulan Driver Training Centre

Apparently it's around $110 to go without a trainer, and then $30 for the MDTC licence (if you don't have CAMS). Here's some videos which someone else uploaded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24fRWk7rClk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFc5TAEJBN8 And a video uploaded by the instructors...

    Marulan Driver Training Centre

Just thought I'd give it the thumbs up especially if you're new to track/circuit racing as it's a nice small/short/technical course which focusses more on driving line and approach as opposed to outright power/speed. I went last week on the Ian Luff course with a bunch of BMW guys and it was...

CA Program - Ask questions, get answers! (new and improved)

    1. Five 'modules' all up- four are technical (FIN, AAA, MAA and TAX) which can be completed in any order and the final one which can only be done after all the others is EBA (ethics). 2. You can do 3 modules per year as it's a trimester timetable. The technical modules are usually offered in...
