    Accounting Cadetships 2010

Anyone can apply- you don't have to be a "fresh" graduate. Usually if you've got experience elsewhere you'd rather enter through a lateral hire program depending on your experience. After all, if you've got experience in the relevant field (e.g. auditing) then the fundamental concepts are...

    Accounting Cadetships 2010

Depends on the firm. Also keep in mind the title means different things at different firms! Some firms have returning cadets automatically promoted to senior (e.g. KPMG)- that is, their 2 years as an undergrad are equivalent to 2 years as a grad. Some firms have returning cadets start off...

    Accounting Cadetships 2010

If there's a need for top ups/additional recruitment, they may try to fill it with other levels (e.g. interns/grads) during the next campaign. Alternatively they may just offer some positions to 1st year uni students next year as it wouldn't make much difference (seeing that a lot of firms don't...

    Ohh dear.. please help :(

Is it literally just the glass that's damaged or has there been any damage to the casing or electric motors behind the mirror? Take a photo or something. If it were me I'd just be calling MB up and asking them for a price quote for replacing the entire mirror module on the passenger side...

    My Apologies

Chromatic- I think with a bit more time and experience on the road, your attitude will change massively. In a year or two you'll be complaining that L platers and P platers irresponsible for doing all the things we complained about you. Good luck for your HSC. ps. Thanks for the support guys...

    FINS 2624 Final

Hahahaha it's a painful subject. I didn't realise he was back. ps. CA is even more heavily weighted- 80% final!

Please stop replying to Chromatic threads

It's not your car, it's your attitude. If you can't see that you portray yourself in such a manner then too bad. No point debating this anymore since you clearly do not care what people think nor do you care about anyone but yourself. ps. Your base model C class is nothing exciting but you...

LOL... I wouldn't go as far as what you said but for the threads which have clearly become either a flame-fest (troll-war) or are an outpost of stupid (and illegal) acts (e.g. talking on phone whilst driving) then I'd recommend to cease posting/replying. Even though he does not "think" he is...

    Definitely financial services (FS).

    Accounting Cadetships 2010

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly but at least in my experience, FS has a lot of client time... as do all the audit departments really. It'll vary from client to client but expect to be at the client site and client-facing for at least 75% of your time. In terms of moving...

    Accounting Cadetships 2010

Yes- I work in Financial Services audit within a Big4 firm. I personally started in a different group within Assurance which specialised in services (e.g. transportation/logistics, property, government) but moved to FS after a year.

    Academic transcript submission for internships

I disagree. A lot of the guys I know who got internships (at least in Big4) were not HD averages nor were they necessarily the ones with the longest list of extra curriculars. It depends on the job you are applying for as some (e.g. banks/trading floors) value academics (as a requirement of the...

What would you like to see on BOS?

Alternatively enforce a different set of rules for social vs. non-social boards. Many other forums on the net (e.g. GameFAQs) have successfully shown that you can have a few boards which have more relaxed rules, and on technical/genuine information boards, no flaming/trolling/off-topic/junk...

    Academic transcript submission for internships

Academics aren't everything. Your social skills and extra cirrcular are also important. Probably moreso.

Do I take a Cadetship or not??

It depends on the way you do it I suppose. Most firms will be quite understanding but it's still not desirable to cancel on contracts especially if you were very committed to the cadetship in your recruitment process. Also depends on what you are moving to instead. There's no hard and fast...

    Fines for 4km/h over limit

The Civic or the digital speedo? In the Civic I spent around $300aud for the Apexi RSM including G-Sensor... but this was a lot messier to install as it required splicing cables, etc. But the digital speedo was far more accurate than the factory dash. In the Lancer I spent around $450aud for...
