The 2nd biggest Accounting firm in aus by revenue is...

Update: Official BRW statistics on Big4 Update from the latest BRW! Note: To anyone buying this issue, it's got the new RIO CEO on the cover and it's very brown looking. In case no-one was sharp enough to notice, EY's position got changed last year as well. I'll quote from the article...

career flushed down the loo ?

Well it's upto you mate. The reality is, there are always going to be distractions, and you're gonna have to focus. Judging by the fact that your results aren't that good over several years, I'm inclined to think that you're really going to have put in a lot of hard work in. Like I said, there's...

career flushed down the loo ?

Academics aren't everything, but failing is a whole different story. Would you be willing to resit those subjects just to get better grades and a better record? Sure you'll be a year behind, but it'll probably improve your job prospects considerably. The question which must be asked is- why...

    www.tradingplaces.com.au

Is this like the ASX Share trading games? I remember they were quite regulated but also quite decent to play. The competition in the adults games was tough!

    Business Law/Taxation Majors

Oh... Fair enough. Not sure if I can offer much help but my sister majored in Biz Law and it helped her alot when she did her CA. Taxation I think is more suitable (obviously) if you want to pursue a career in tax. It's well paid (compared to audit) btu it's also very restrictive. Biz Law is...

    Top 'speed' done and where?

*agrees with petar13* That's why I always read the receipt from petrol stations. It'd be quite pathetic if someone got busted doing 55 in 50 zone.

    Wireless Internet Access @ UNSW

Thanks. The tech support ppl said they couldn't tell me the password and he's like "I wouldn't be able to tell you that". Lo and behold, someone emailed me (from tech support) the connection details with the login/password anyway. Now, does anyone here have a solution for my problem? I can't...

    Pushing the limit..

Sounds more like just something they put on the speedo- not what the car is actually capable of (IMO).

    Finance/Accounting wtf

LOL @ turtleface. With regards to the topic, I also don't really know... I mean, I've always accepted that finance involved accounting, and that the two were connected. 'Finance' in terms of IB, always came second- because I usually associate 'IB' with the whole investing side of things...

What's your major and your degree?

Haha didn't think anyone would actually read my post! The problem here is: Business Law is probably going to be more useful both in Assurance, and Accounting (and CA) in general. My sister studied it and she said it made her CA program a lot easier. Only thing with me is, even if I study...

    Wireless Internet Access @ UNSW

10c/mb isn't too bad- cheaper than those Vodafone and Optus cards I think. I just sent an email to IT service desk- hopefully they can book me in ASAP. How long does the VPN Client installation take anyway? Can anyone give me some details on it? I already have the Cisco VPN Client installed.
