    Question in cells...help?!

    bump bump bump. probably sleeping in anyway i got the answer but for future reference, it is because: the PbSO4 which coats electrodes after discharge disintegrates the electrodes. you can't store it in the discharged state. even in the recharged state, automatic sulphation of the electrodes...

    Metals question ...?

    the answer would be silver because if you look at your reduction potential sheet, it is the furthest down from the reaction of sulphate so to make them react, you'd actually REQUIRE energy than it happening spontaneously. that is probably what i'd go to first.

    Trig Proof

    LHS= sin 3x . sin x = -0.5 [cos 4x - cos x] = -0.5 [(2cos²2x-1) - cos x] = -0.5 [(2{2cosx -1}² -1 - cos x] RHS =2 (2cos²x -1) +1 equate LHS=RHS to form a quadratic in cos x i haven't brushed on my double-angle formulae etc so i might be wrong but you get the idea oh and the proof they...

    Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince

    it was worth watching it was definitely better than the horrible fifth one the experience was good at the time - at least not as boring as fifth. however after it finishes, you'll realise it wasn't great. you need to have read the book to understand it or you'll be going wtf wtf wtf but they...

    Curve Skething -- Inverse trig

    yeah i got that out but i added 2k(pi) to account for all the other possible solutions is that wrong? coz i somewhat remember during inverse in three unit that that's what you gotta do so there should be an infinite array of lines across the whole cartesian plane?

    Curve Skething -- Inverse trig

    we recently had 4u half yearlies and they asked us to draw: cos (x+y) = 0 for curve sketching i'm sure it must be a line or an array of lines, but anyone know how to solve it in such a way? graphmatica gives me a line y= -x + pi/2 but then again it's not good for implicit fuctions either...

    titration help

    one of the properties of a primary standard is that it has high molar mass. this reduces the percentage error when weighing. how does that work? can you give examples?
