    Learning language

Hi Namu I would personally recommend that you start with Japanese for the following reasons: 1. As you yourself pointed out, with your Korean background and similarity in grammatical structures, you will find at least spoken Japanese much easier to pick up. 2. If you are going deeper...

Looking for Advanced English, 2U & 3U Maths Tutor for Year 11 student.

Thank you for your response and kind offer, tutor290. Unfortunately the distance to travel is too far for me (unless you can tutor via alternative mutually acceptable modes). Either way, best wishes for a successful and prosperous career in your chosen field.:)

what kind of subject marks do u need to 95+

Thank you for your advice. I am aware of SAM, but it uses aligned marks and not raw marks. Just need an estimation to work with so I can set some goals. All the best to all taking their HSC in 2009.

Where do you buy the yellow New senior maths fizpatrick book?

I got mine from Dymocks, but you should be able to get it from any other book store. You can even buy it second-hand from Bored of Studies (check the buy/sell forums) or eBay (do a search to see if anyone is selling it) if you are not fussy about the book not being brand new. Happy holidays...

    Stimulus Package

As long as you earned $100K p/a or less in 2007-2008, lodged your 2007-2008 Tax Return on time and paid at least $1 tax on it, you are entitled to it. However, the actual amount you get is scaled depending on your actual income. For more information and calculations on your entitlement...

The play Othello, and the movie Othello (2001). Transformation Essay? Confused.

I think the themes of love and jealousy are great to work with. Perhaps you can tie them in with Christian values which place emphasis on honesty and sexual morality. Something interesting to note here: Othello kills Desdemona because he thinks she is "dishonest/false" and unchaste, while...

Advanced English - Need to find an outsider related source/text

Try "The Wedding Banquet" (movie). Although, if you need to do annotations as well, something in print might be easier.

    Economics Skills-bsed exam

I am in Year 11. For our upcoming Economics exam, our teacher informed us that it will be skills-based and that there is no need to study for it. Can anyone tell me how I should go about preparing for such an exam? Thank you very much for reading.

    2008 tax return thread

Hi everyone  If I earn below $6000.00 in the 2007/2008 financial year, do I still have to lodge a Tax Return? If not, is there anything that I should do (like advise the Tax Office?). This is my 1st job and I only started working at end of June for 2 hours, earning $20.00 - haha.
