Write down the coordinates of the centre, and the length of the radius of the following circle:
a) 2x^2+2y^2-8x+5y+3=0
My working out was...
(ab)^2 = abc
therefore ab=c (divide both sides by ab)
If c=1 then a and b = 1 (a,b,c are three DIFFERENT values)
If c =5 then a b = 1, 5 (look above)
If c= 9 then ab= 3,3 OR 1,9 (Look above)
therefore c must = 12 and b,c = 3,4 or 2,6
