Is it possible to do the PLT experience overseas?

Yes it is possible to do the practical component of the PLT in a common law jurisdiction other than Australia. I answered my own question. Excellent.

Is it possible to do the PLT experience overseas?

This is an odd question. I am trying to find the PLT rules on the internet so I can check myself, does anyone know if you can do the practical experience component in London? Having completed a law degree and the subjects required for the PLT, would this be possible? Thanks,

Is anyone planning on working overseas?

What country is your position located? I am aware of this. Clearly I am still studying, which would imply that I have at least a couple of years until graduation including PLT. Obviously I have at least a few years until such a relocation would be possible. Hopefully, the market would have...

What marks are considered GOOD in law school?

^^^^ Why does everyone think this? I know people with credit averages who work in top tier firms, there are so many misconceptions regarding employment in top tier firms!

Is anyone planning on working overseas?

I don't think it is very common at all, particularly in the early stages of one's career..Unfortunately. I am planning on working in the USA. It is a bit more difficult than working in the UK, or even HK. But not impossible...

Is anyone planning on working overseas?

Is anyone planning on working overseas after graduation? Or within 1-2 years after graduating? If so where and how long after you graduate? Just wondering if anyone else is planning this like I am.

    Uts jd / unsw jd

The JD at UNSW is one semester longer than the UTS JD. This is because the PLT at UTS is built into the degree, which means you don't have to enrol in the College of Law. For me this was a significant selling point, I am in my 7th year at uni and the thought of spending an extra semester at uni...

    Graduate programs...How long?

Thanks for the reply. I am hoping to leave a graduate program after 1 year to move overseas, so I am just trying to work out the technicalities of doing so.

    Practical Legal Training question

At UTS they do not organise the practical component for you. Unless they have been keeping it a very well kept secret?

    Graduate programs...How long?

Haha..No I can see you why you interpreted it differently. Does anyone know if it is possible to leave a graduate employment contract after 1 year? Thanks for the replies.

    Graduate programs...How long?

How long do most graduate employment programs last for? One or two years? Thanks :)

    Practical Legal Training question

Is it possible to gain employment in a law firm, and obtain PLT while I work? Earn money and do PLT at the same time? My PLT is built in to the degree. I have one PLT subject left over in the last semester, so it would be very advantageous to gain a job and complete the PLT requirements...

    U:PASS... helpful or not?

I found U Pass really helpful for economics and finance. They give a lot of 'hints' about what will be in the exam, and gives you a chance to get further clarification regarding complex concepts. Also they sometimes show you previous exam papers that not everyone else can obtain...If you are lucky.

    Cross institutional summer school electives?

Has anyone successfully completed an elective (or two) at another university at summer school? I am at UTS doing graduate law, and would like to complete three electives this summer. I plan on completing two at UTS, and one hopefully at USYD. Has anyone done such a thing? Thanks in advance.
