    ANU help

Different universities do things differently. I know that for some universities you have to enrol in person while for others you can do it all online.

A few more questions about subject choices *URGENT*

Lets examine your options. You could go to MQ or UTS, get good grades for the first year and apply for a transfer to USyd/UNSW. Since most first year business/commerce subjects are basically the same across different universities, you will most likely be able get credit for your previous studies...

    Is University overrated these days?

By the way, I go to ANU, so stop using that go8 = happy people vs non-go8 = thinks uni is overrated crap on me.

    Ritalin - Adderall

I was referring to the OP. He said without prescription, so that would infer he/she has no medically diagnosed problems with concentration.

    When do you start studying?

The first week. I HATE playing catchup (cramming). Classes are so much more interesting when your on top of your game. Btw I heard some lecturers say to do your readings before the lectures. Does anyone actually do this? I find it very hard, especially when you have tute hw, assignments.

    Ritalin - Adderall

Why do people keep looking for this magic pill? Study hard, attend all classes. Simple.

Better to have tutes after or before lectures?

Honestly it doesn't make a difference. As long as you attend all your classes, you'll do well. And besides, most tutes cover the previous weeks content so it doesn't really matter.

Med or Combined Law more difficult to get into?

A good friend of mine at UWA did commerce/economics combined degree in 2008, studied for 1 year, got a D average and transferred to combined degree commerce/law. So I would also say law is easier.

Med or Combined Law more difficult to get into?

True. Most asians care about either status (showing off) or money (also for showing off). Thats why the commerce/business courses are flooded with asians doing finance/banking/actuarial.

    A Second Chance?!

I'm pretty sure if you fail a unit, then repeat the unit and pass then both the fail and pass will be included in your GPA. Also, after you have finished a unit you cannot redo it in the hopes of improving your mark. Remember that ALL FAILS stay and remain on your record.

Is it possible to ask the uni if

I agree. University should be your full-time commitment, just like a full time job. If you approach university as just something on the side then I think you should do part-time or reconsider your goals.

I wanna pass but I dont want to study at all!

You could go to one of the many diploma/degree mill Universities in China where all you have to do is pay the tuition, a small bribe and the Uni will let you pass anyways. Then you can join the millions of Chinese students with a degree and no job because people these days want something for...

    Enrolment on the 18th

The thing is that the enrolment guide from ANU said students from colleges and halls enrol on the 18th. My surname is L, so I would have to enrol on the 11th, but my accommodation contract doesnt start until the 13th... which is when most of the halls allow you to move in. And thats the first...

    Is University overrated these days?

There are a lot of good Universities which are not GO8. It really depends on your field. For example Curtin is great at geophysics while UWA (GO8) is not as good.

    Is University overrated these days?

Personally I think getting a bachelors degree today is like getting a high school diploma back then. Its socially expected of you. And the lower tier Universities with their low entry requirements (no offense to anyone) is the main driving force behind this, in my humble opinion. Although I do...

Is ANU HONESTLY Good for Undergraduate Law?

Think of it this way. Harvard, Stanford, Yale (many other excellent schools) aren't located in huge/major cities, so they have a disadvantage when finding jobs in the big cities then? Location does not determine where you end up working. Just because you go to Uni in Sydney does not mean you...

    Enrolment on the 18th

Hey, So everyone living at one of the halls, UniLodge, Citigate, Carotel and Uni Gardens are going to do their enrolments on the 18th right?

Who has goals of going to Harvard University?

Yes I would also love to know this. And what criteria do they mostly evaluate you on? your GPA? Extra tests? Interviews? What process did you go through?

Who has goals of going to Harvard University?

I still don't think you guys have any idea of how intense the competition is for Harvard, Oxbridge etc.
