Guys, I also just got the same offer, ANU@Citigate. It says the ANU community will number 148... does that mean there will be 148 students there or what? If there are 140ish ANU students then we shouldn't feel too lonely/unsafe. And $163 for breakfast and dinner sounds alright I guess... But...

Lol apart from being dodgy, it looks pretty bloody far away from the ANU campus. I would much rather go into a share house closer to ANU than live at some far away motel.

Just did a search on that motel, its apparently called the Carotel Motel and Caravan Park... and it looks pretty far away in the outer suburbs of Canberra. I feel for you guys who got that offer. This is just appalling in my opinion. At least stop being cheap skates and offer the REX or...

Don't be so sure that we're staying at a hotel (the REX). I read some previous threads from 2008 and 2009 and ANU were sending people to stay at places like The Australian Hotel Management College or something like that. I think they even offered some people random motels, not hotels, motels!

No, the guarantee is only for first years outside of ACT who got a MAIN round offer. The OP got a late offer.

I wonder if its all those university rankings that are making ANU more popular? I know of people who went to ANU JUST because it is ranked #1 on some internet sites...

120 hours??? Wtf? In Western Australia, we only have to do 25 hours.

One of my lecturers has a Bachelor of Commerce from both ECU and Curtin University, so it is possible.
