    BOW help !

Have you heard of Margaret Dodd? She's done a series of ceramic cars, but in a really quirky way, like by dressing them up as a bride or squashing it or something like that. They're very cute and if you want to do something different from drawing or painting you should take a look.

    Help

I heard that it wasn't actually Jesse Owens who got snubbed by Hitler, but another American athlete who wasn't as well known. Although i did only hear that on some tv drama, and it sounds really conspiracy theorist, so its probably not true.

I don't think i have it in me to be a poet!

    Books on World War I

for the Great War defintely look into " World War 1: A very short introduction". It's this really succinct overview of the war, but it goes into such depth about some of the background that you will learn way more from it than any of the HSC textbooks. I also think there's a book on the Russian...

Most annoying book of all time

Firstly, Miss Austen -not Mrs Austen as she was never married- was Edwardian, not Victorian-get it right. And secondly, the whole point of the novels are that the girls are not wealthy, but they still have enough dignity that they marry for love, which makes Elizabeth and Jane Bennet, and the...

    Possible questions for Heinrich Himmler?

could you try to do some kind of alternate history? like if Himmler wasn't born, would the Holacaust have happened the way it did. I suppose it could show just how important Himmler was to some of the policies of the 3rd Reich. Just a thought.... Something that's great for background of the...

Heroes and Anti-heroes - Help with related texts!

A Clockwork Orange -the book- is great for antihero stuff, as is The Maltese Falcon and Rick out of Casablanca. Also Frankenstein's monster -from the book, NOT the movie- Satan from Paradise Lost, Bat Man, Captain Nemo, Severus Snape, and even i suppose Homer Simpson. But i'm just assuming that...

    what make Dracula popular today?

Dracula also embodies the tabooes about sex, (which is also why Twilight is so popular) but it's hidden behind the blood lust thing, which really is just a metaphor for a desire for sex that's almost bestial. i think when dracula came out it really shocked people because of the way the...
