    Section I - Multiple Choice

Well what is it if it is not an expense? It stands for "COST of goods sold".

    Section I - Multiple Choice

COGS is an expense, "cost of goods sold", which you can minimise through buying in bulk or changing suppliers, which would improve GP. Thats why i put it, i believe 'minimising expenses' is the most correct answer.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

yes, most likely, but there is no indication whatever in the question that the company research the needs and wants of the customer before developing the product, hence they are relying on the selling approach to get the customers to buy it.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Why must it be this? In the textbook, 'cost centres' and 'expense minimisation' are both regarded as equally relevant profitability management strategies, and as someone pointed out earlier, just using cost centres is not enough to actually help your profitability. You must then analyse the...

    Raw marks for band 6?

+1. The cutoff for the old syllabus was about 80, and the new syllabus is no easier. Arguably easy exam today, maybe 81/82, not 85/6/7.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

No, the question says exactly "American travel agents organising tours for Australians". The exchange rates make it cheaper for the Aussies to go overseas, which is what the Americans are organising. That is definitely C. Yes, it did... the question asked for "the minimum number of days...

    Cpa multi!

Well why did you put 10 then? Shortest necessary path means you must allow time for all tasks to be completed, which means its 17.

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

Yeah, what was the go with asking for examples? Did you actually have to use case studies, or could you just refer to generic aspects of a business?
  16. gr_111

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Exactly, by taking the maximum number of days, you get the shortest possible time, because all the tasks must be completed.

    General Thoughts: Engineering Studies

I'm sure there was a typo in that bus down the hill question, if the hill had been 70metres long instead of 700 then it would have ended up below 60km/hr and then accelerated to it as specified in the next part of the q. EDIT: actually just calculated it and it would still be above 60kmhr, but...
