    Cadetships 2017

The traineeship program is the cadetship program, PwC has always labelled it differently. Up until last year it was open to high school leavers as well but they've changed it so you apply in your 1st or 2nd year year of uni and start work in your 2nd or 3rd year. It's ultimately still the same...

    Cadetships 2017

I think the Higher Apprenticeship Program is a new / different program. PwC did cadetships last year as well, 2015 was the only year they didn't run the traineeship program in recent years. Traineeship Link: http://www.pwc.com.au/student-careers/trainee.html

    Summer Vacation Internship's 2017/2018

PwC values cultural fit quite a bit so make sure you do some research into the values of the firm and the firm goals over the next few years. Don't recite the values word for word because that becomes a bit too obvious but having them subtly embedded in your responses will always help.

    Cadetships 2017

    - I don't think KPMG has offered cadetships for a while now. This may have changed in the last year? - EY opens it's cadetship applications to Year 12 students and early uni students. - PwC up until recently used to accept Year 12 applicants but now only accept those in their first year of a...

business studies needed for business degree?

No you don't need to take it to study business at uni. Yes it's an easier Year 11/12 subject than most others but only do it if you actually want to do it.

    Which Commerce major?

It will definitely provide more of an understanding but there still wont be a huge level of competence in programming. That being said, it's something you can definitely self-teach if you put in the time and effort.

    Which Commerce major?

As a warning, the BIS major at USyd is quite appalling in my opinion. Unlike other major universities, the BIS major at USyd doesn't really include a technical component so the students don't even learn programming/coding on a basic level. If there is a genuine interest in IT/Tech then doing...

    Degree advice

Ofc. Not like you've made prejudiced comments before? O wait.
  11. Phaze

    Degree advice

Firstly, not to burst any bubbles, but there is a lot more out there besides IBs and MBB. Secondly, what stats are you referring to? Just because more people might be hired from USyd doesn't mean that it's the prestige that puts you ahead of other candidates, correlation =/= causation. It...

    Degree advice

Maybe read my post properly? You're not shooting yourself in the foot by going to UTS or MQ since UTS and MQ Commerce degrees are still recognised as an acceptable course in most if not all major firms.

    Degree advice

TLDR UNSW, USyd, UTS and MQ Commerce degrees are all viewed quite well in the industry. Sure there will be differences, but granted your marks are well I don't think you'll be at any disadvantage for going to MQ. Regarding your second question, if you're doing the double degree to get some...

    Cadetships 2016

Not gonna lie, EY probably doesn't even know when their new cadets are gonna start work yet.

    Cadetships 2016

You'll never get a straightforward unbiased answer when you ask which uni is better. There are a lot of factors that come into play whenever this debate comes up but personally I don't think you can really go wrong when picking between UNSW, USyd, UTS or MQ. All four are generally viewed as good...

    Cadetships 2016

Most if not all the cadets I know are doing two subjects when they're working and four when they're at uni full time. This usually ends up making the standard three year degree into four years. Although, desperate, you should note that some co-op courses (such as BAcc) require you to start...

    Cadetships 2016

Would urge you have a read through this thread and the past cadetship thread as this is something that comes up every year. End of the day they both offer two different things. In a cadetship you are actually employed by the firm and compensated by the firm whilst in co-op it's a placement...

    Cadetships 2016

    1. I know at the Big 4 cadets are treated almost the same as grads and I'm pretty sure this also expands out to the most if not all mid-tier firms as well. This means that when you start off you'll go through the same training/induction and receive the same type of work. 2. What do you mean my...

    Cadetships 2016

As long as you're enjoying the work you're doing (regardless of whether or not you see it being your future career) you shouldn't feel obliged to leave early. It's really early days at this age and I think it's naive to think anyone our age would have the details ironed out regarding future...
