Well there's no point in doing 13 units as a "safety net" if you're not gonna have maximum performance in them all (only 10 units count in the end anyway).
For many people (ahem i'm on 10 lel), 11 units is the optimum because you have a slight safety net, but the units are few enough as to...
OP has already made their decision considering the school year has already started by now buuut
I do both Phys & Bio and not chem
Phys - It's really important you actually understand the concepts, it's not just bashing values down into formulas, although the mathematical aspect of Phys is...
Stan's performance was pretty shocking/disappointing in 5th set. I guess his mentality in the 4th set must've been primarily like "I need to make it to the 5th set" rather than "I need to win this match" and then he burnt out and couldn't get momentum back on after that x.x
My fave is Pilot G-2 05 ballpoint it just feels really good to write with - except it's pretty expensive ($6 or sth at officeworks) and they run out easily (my friend got refills overseas though so yayyy)
Jetstream pens are also great, reaaaaaaaaaaally smooth
If you do well, it shouldn't be a real problem. Also since they're both not especially high-scaling subjects, keep the one that you think you like more. IPT is pretty easy, mainly memorising while I think for legal you have to do a lot of research?
Bio - Bio in focus is good
Phys - In2Physics (Phys in focus is the best imo and personally I hated Jacaranda cos it goes off on unnecessary tangents and it didn't actually state all of Newton's laws)
3U Maths - CAMBRIDGE all the way, Fitzpatrick also good
Samuel Davis' notes are good in the sense that they cover e v e r y t h i n g in the syllabus but does have a lot of unnecessary crap in it. Personally I found the Excel book really good in terms of content (but the sample papers they have are awful). It's probably best to make your own...
On the last week of school some kid in the SRC (i think) dressed up as Santa and terrorised people walking into the school in the morning
Teacher reactions were priceless.
Don't know anything about hornsby, but NSG:
English - Alright, slightly lazy, there are around 3 teachers who are just downright terrible though.
Humanities - Really strong history+soco faculty (really really dedicated), dunno about legal, eco, geo etc
Maths - Pretty good in general but our...
Bless this thread
One question though - I have maths tutoring (3U & 4U teaching ahead of school) with HW given, and I also want to revise all the 3U (including prelim) and 4U material already covered at school. Since that is heaps... do you have any tips on organising this huge lump of work...
