    UNSW shooting threat

There was a past thread on BoS saying a person's friend may unleash havoc during the HSC exams, could this possibly be linked with this?

    Validity of this argument

I don't know what you're on about but I think the form of my argument is wrong. Contradication shouldn't be a conclusion I didn't ask you because I thought I interpreted it correctly but thanks for reaching out to me :)

    Validity of this argument

Yes, this happened in the confessions thread and yes, I'm analysing a casual convo

    Validity of this argument

Ok, yes. It's making sense now. Thanks, man!

    Validity of this argument

Here is the exchange - PSYC1011 - talking about guy clothes and recommendations Z - "arent u a girl" (paraphrased) PSYC1011 - "no, how did u arrive at that conclusion?" Z - "vibe" PSYC1011 - "pls elaborate, what kind of vibe?" Z - "it's the vibe... of the thing i thought you were a white...

    Validity of this argument

I interpreted it as: from the vibes a person produces, judgements cannot be made

    Validity of this argument

Two days ago, I was told the following is not valid: Argument 1 { Premise 1: psyc1011's vibe is ________ Conclusion 1: psyc1011 is a female } Argument 2 { Premise 2A: vibe has no judgement Premise 2B: Argument 1 Conclusion 2: contradiction } This is me dissecting what another user said or...

    Study and homework?

Don't worry about hours studied, worry about tasks completed! During HSC, I studied by counting hours but it left an inaccurate display of how much work I did, around 30min before my break, I lose focus. Also I was only worried about hour count instead of actually studying, lol. Halfway...

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive From google, it's a neutralisation reaction. Take x hydrogen from one, hydroxide from one, unify them to make water. The remaining product is a salt where x is the number of protonisations the acid does

    Top most applicable discipline

What are the most applicable and helpful discipline ot study at University? EXCLUDE MEDICINE! I'd saw Law and Engineering. Law for immense critical thinking abilities to see clarity in most things and win most arguments, if not all Engineering for the creative and building abilities...

    Probability question

    Why did you do 1 - (18/37)^6? Answer this before proceeding. The question wants P(>= 1 black before 6th game) = 1 - P(0 blacks) = 1 - (P(red) + P(green)) = 1 - (18/37 + 1/37)^5 You probably missed the green ball OR you did (1 - P(all blacks)) - this is wrong, why?

    factorising cubic equation

Thats not the only time to use factor theorem. Factor theorem can be a quick way to check that a guessed factor is a factor. Guesses are usually -2, -1, 1, 2 (kinda leads to david's post but 2u dont need it.)

    factorising cubic equation

you learn factor theorem in MX1 though

    factorising cubic equation

    I required knowledge of x - 2 being a factor of the polynomial by factor theorem demonstarted by Integrand, then it sparked this idea: x3 - x2 - 4 = x3 - 2x2 + x2 - 4 Then factorising each pair x2(x - 2) + (x - 2)(x + 2) = 0 (x - 2)(x2 + x + 2) = 0 This is a bit hard to see.. The reason...
