Don't worry, I messed up my time management for trials (spent way too long on the essay, only had 15 minutes left to stir up a creative) and managed to get an equal 23 for both sections
Also my time management was much better than trials ~ I finished my essay within the first hour before moving onto my creative and focusing on that for the next remaining hour
I did Module A: Genre
The essay question was extremely broad, making it easy to fit into my argument~
Creative was a bit difficult at first because it didn't fit my prepared at all, but I soon got the hang of it. There was a lot of writing new material on the spot to fit with the stimulus
Actually enjoyed it
WWI: I found multiple choice easy. I'm really glad it didn't turn out to be as difficult as Ancient. Also glad that the 10 marker turned out to deduct the "own knowledge" part.
National Study: I did Germany and I'm happy that b) was the role of terror, repression and...
Am I the only one who likes general/vague questions? I feel like that really broadens what you can talk about.
Also really happy that melodic dictation was 5 marks and not 8 like it was in my trials.
I definitely struck lucky with the extended response because I didn't prepare an elective...
Module A: In the 5 minutes reading time, I was like "Wtf?? What kind of question is this? How would I even do this??" It wasn't until writing time did it hit me that it actually fit really well with my argument xD So yeah I'm confident with Mod A~
Module B: Honestly a solid 10/20 would be...
Haha same, especially the last one. And I really liked the quote for the creative too tbh, like just the quote in of itself, not that it was easy for my creative to adapt to or anything (which came from one of the texts but I forgot which xD)
For TMD, I wrote that discoveries aren't new because there has always been poverty on the Latin American landscape due to Guevara's historical context (WWII - worldwide food shortages, inflation, they depended on the US a lot, and this was all evident in South Africa) (Most of my prepared essay...
Section i: I thought it was good. I think spent too long on the 5 mark question, though. Like in trials I lost 2 marks from the last question because I left it last minute and it was rushed, so I made sure to do the last question first, but that just detracted time from the other questions and...
Bombing out on one assessment task/exam will not ruin/impact your rank all that much, just as long as you pick it up for future tasks, you will be fine :)
95 in Year 9
I actually did so well in English, History and Music in Year 10 that I'm sure I would've achieved this ATAR. In terms of consistent study habits, I bet if 2016 me was doing the HSC now, she'd ace it. But with 2018 me, I'm not so sure lol rip.
98 within the first half of Year 11...

Module B: 15/20

My Hamlet essay was so bad and that's what pulled my marks down. I think I just need to spend more time on Advanced course in general as I literally only had my...
