    UNSW Subject Reviews.

Hahaha yeah I did skip quite a few physics lectures (how did you know lol), and didn't do much external studying either, except right before mid sem cos I freaked out when I learnt it was worth 20%. Didn't have time to study for finals cos Higher Chem 1A was worth 60%, I still think it was the...

    UNSW Subject Reviews.

@Timothy Siu: We were in the same Calculus tutorial? (I never knew that) I quite liked Wolfgang Schieff. Calculus was harder because I didn't commit the rigorous theorems to memory, whereas Algebra was all applied, new and more interesting overall. Peter Brown is a wicked algebra lecturer. I...

    General Thoughts: English Extension 1

Re: Extension Exam - How'd it go? Mm, I did Module B (Romanticism). Wrote 11 pages for the essay and 5.5 pages for the short story. It seemed alright. :D

is being an atheist a fashion now?

It's not a 'fashion'. It's here to stay. It's been around for a very, very long time.

Thoughts on raw mark needed for an E4

We should think so, after all, the bands aren't based on a ranking cut off but personal achievement. I'm talking aligned marks though, the ATAR is a rank.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

Haha, I hope so, after all, the board doesn't issue half marks. It's correct anyway.

"Celebrity atheists expose their hypocrisy"- A really shitty article

Yes, this article did little more than cite well known persons from the arts, science etc. and portrayed them as a collective representation of a religion and its adherents. The most annoying argument is that secularism has been exalted as a religion in itself, rather than the absence of, and...

    I wrote in lead.

At any rate, if there should be a deviation from what you anticipate in terms of aligned marks etc, perhaps contact the board. From what I understand, they keep the exam papers for a while, and after that, if there aren't any "complaints" then the papers are burnt/shredded.

Thoughts on raw mark needed for an E4

HAHAHAHA. So lucky damn it. Do you convey on you a four leaf clover or some other item of luck into these exams? Really? Maybe this is where I went wrong. Haven't attempted to rote learn anything. Last dedicated effort to rote learning was in year 2, and it was my times tables haha. With...

Yes, it'd be great to maximise your maths marks :). Man I just want E4's, but then, one gets to a stage where they want a bit more haha. To be honest, maths is really one of the only proper courses the board offers any way. It limits the whole rote learning business and amplifies application...

Hey Diana (please tell me this is your name and the HSC hasn't resulted in temporary amnesia)! How's it going and everything? :) Haven't seen you around, probably because we have different exams and everyone is saying fml. All the best for you remaining exams.

Aww shucks, thanks. It would sound like you've aced this all! :) For the remaining exams, all the best!!! I'd really love mid E4s for both (if it's achievable), and a mid band 6 for english advanced would be incredibly sweet.
