Hey guys,
Hope I won't get in trouble for this, but I did the HSC in 2006 and recently found my Ext Eng Creative. Someone was asking me some time ago for it (I'm so sorry I forgot!)...so yes...
Sorry about the banner ads. Yeah it's uploaded on FFNet but that's because it was that or my LJ...
I agree with the thyroid thing. And also about how skinny people (especially Asians) have more fat around their internal organs than just under their skin - and this invisible internal-organ fat is even worse than the visible fat. So even if you're skinny you have to exercise :)
However...
Awwww I really wanted to bring my rollerblades and chase people down the main walkway with them...but then I read the sign that we couldn't skate there. Pity that.
I shall have to make do with climbing trees! Woohoo!
What: Med Revue - KILL BULK BILL - A sketch based comedy show complete with singing, dancing, live band, videos and moooore...
Who: The coolest people at UNSW! Watch out for the walking bananas over the next two weeks!
When: May 1st-May 4th, starting at 7:45pm

For me, it's pretty simple - I switch the burden between my neck and calf muscles from time to time.
Damn being under five feet tall. Damn eye contact.
Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007
I should be careful with my choice of words. The US versions have a picture at the beginning of every chapter - we are restricted to illustrated covers...and a Hogwarts log on the title page of course ;)
OotP is 766 pages long.
Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007
Guys, that's the US version. Our text is smaller and has fewer pictures. Hence we can expect closer to 700.
But there's no way I'm complaining, I'll bet I won't even want it to end once I get my hands on a copy :(
1. PoA (twists and turns galore, compelling characters, interesting philosophical stuff about time travelling - NB this movie's my favourite too)
2. HBP (tied up many loose ends, but still skilfully opened up more, although Dumbledore's death bumped it down to 2nd place)
3. PS/SS (it grabbed...
Okay...did anybody on BoS just see Il Divo last night (or the night before?)
How Good Were They?
I wish I'd been naughty and taken a video camera :( :headbang: :( because I wanna see them all over again!
Thank god they sang Regressa A Mi at the very end...if they didn't I'd have been...
Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007
Hey I'm trying to find out a couple of things about July 21st...and look at this!
1954 - The Fellowship of the Ring, the first part of The Lord of the Rings, is published in the UK. Someone wasn't satisfied with nicking a Willow tree, a...
Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I reckon it won't be 7/7/07 cause that's the anniversary of the London bombings.
But I do think it might be Halloween, because it's substantially far enough from the OotP movie release (12th July for us Aussies) to let everyone cash on big on HP...
To be honest, I did a search on Harris Tech and couldn't find any good ultraportables by any other brand...ok...Toshiba have something...the Libretto? But it has really dodgy specs, like a 60gb hard drive (my iPod would gobble it up!)
I did ring the Bing Lee guy because my dad saw a big ad...
I am looking at getting a notebook -
Since I love to run power-sapping programs like Photoshop in tandem, I figured I needed something fairly powerful.
But since I'm under 5 feet tall and also under 45 kilos, mum and dad don't want me carrying anything that's over 2kg.
I initially...
Wow! The thread is still alive! But yeah - Med students at UNSW do sound very cool indeed. I suppose the other thing is that you get some comradery because everyone does the same subjects; if you're doing a science degree everyone picks a different speciality so you never get the same kinds of...
I'll party with you! Can't wait to start Med/Arts at UNSW!
(yes, I'm turning down USYD, sorry haque)
Anyhow, congrats to everyone who got offers! **parties with everyone**
Hi there, I just got a UNSW offer, so I think I'll go there. I mean I always planned to go to UNSW; I have heard so many glowing reports from girls in the years above me.
Also, I had a long chat with my grandmother, who made a big deal about "being greedy" versus "following your heart". To top...
Firstly, thankyou everybody for your replies; I've been absolutely swamped and I love it!
Actually I'm leaning more towards philosophy - which is something you can pick up at either uni - than Latin. I'm thinking I can just keep up my Latin for fun (eg reading Harrius Potter et Camera...
Yeah - and besides, it's not really wasting a year, I'm sure she did many worthwhile things during it. To value your year on whether you got into undergraduate medicine or not (I think) is extremely shallow.
Hmmm yeah **agrees with LottoX and ~shinigami~ in terms of Arts**
And to be honest, a Science degree on top of a Med degree did sound a tad superfluous upon my first impression. I mean Med is very science-orientated to begin with...
Probably I'm being a tad greedy with the money - $50 000...
