yeh so the journeys question has to be generic to fit in with all the areas, hopefully meaning that they wont specify certain poems.. i looked at past papers and they havent specified before for journeys.
ive just been wondering, do you think it is possible that they could specify what texts to do? eg in imaginative journey is they specify to do Rime by Coleridge.
i hope nottt
ip: a mime about a girl in a box, then in an icecream shop, then soe crazy antics with a rope that comes down from the ceiling...
gp: absurdist piece about being cheese, and the search for identity
anyone got their trial marks back yet and care to share?
the mime was for individual.
hehe no its not a stupid question - traditionally, you arent supposed to talk at all during a mime, but i had to include dialogue (in my case gibberish) to satisfy the marking criteria. i only speak a couple of times though, mainly sounds and when i am in a stoe...
well im performing a mime for my piece, and its adapted. i was lucky enough to find a really good mime routine book - so i adapted a couple of the routines from that, made the character the same, and made the story more whole/complete.
really happy with how it went for our trial performance and...
we decided on once in a blue moon.
our group all brainstormed cheese from this topic - and so we ran like crazy with that! so we are doing an absuurdist piece about cheese lol
its awesome
yep ours was a recital night, and so the teachers thought because the criteria involves actor-audience relationship, and audience would be needed. it was friends and family so not a big crowd, just people invited.
what will your trial be like?
hey
well we just had our drama trials last night so i thought id start a new thread so people could say how it went
i performed a mime for mine, i thought it went really well, good repsonsefrom audience, i included gibberish as well though so satisfy criteria.
audience was fantastic...
hey everyone - sounds like onstage is top quality (as it should be i guess!)
im thinking of doing a mime for my ip, and i found out after i booked to see onstage that program A has a guy performing mime!
ive booked for friday night 7:30pm - does anyone know how i can find out if it is program...
omg that is amazing! i am seeing onstage on friday night actually so i am wishing and hoping so badly that it is program A. ill try and look now if there is an onstage website and i might be able to find out about the programs
thanks again!
thanks for the quick reply.
well as i said its not set in concrete - i still need to research a lot and watch mimes etc but yeh i was thinking old school. i was chosen to perform a mime with about 6 other people (it was only a small thing though) late last year so i know a few tricks already...
hey everyone - seems like there is quite a wide source of knowledge here.. maybe you can help me out.
its just an idea, nothing concrete of course, but has anyone out there ever performed a mime for the hsc or know of anyone that has? would the judges have different marking criteria?
or if...
ok right now im not a fan of guys that beat around the bush - they dont say how they feel and keep playing games with you to try and see how you feel about them
just spit it out if you like the person!
i think you go through partners and each one appeals to a certain aspect fo your life or your character that someone else cant. in that way they are perfect.. but then another partner will come along and will appeal to a different aspect of you... one person cant satisfy you in every single way...
