Actually Bromine water is actually a base BrOH, due to the high reactivity of bromine, which undergoes a reaction with water forming BrOH.

Chemistry Class of 2007: Roll Call

Hey, doing industrial chemistry for HSC 2007. Sounds interesting, but just brushing over the syllabus, gives you a daunting feeling.

    Chemistry Elective

But in terms of competition with other students across the state, industrial chemistry is more popular THAN forensic and is therefore harder to gain marks in the HSC, since you have more cadidates, who are competing for the same marks and the HSC markers only give the ''top'' marks to those who...

    projectile motion

Yes i know i confused the question with my working, and i thought that the verticall displacement from where the object was fired from, was 15.56m, needless to say your answer is right. I re-did the question and got the same answer. Thanks for picking that up. JONO_

    projectile motion

    1) Vertically: For time in air! t=?, u=12sin30=6.00m/s, a=-9.8m/s/s,r=-2m. r=ut+1/2at^2 -2=6t+1/2.-9.8t^2 0=2+6t-4.9t^2 Using quadrtic formula, we get two values for t. Taking the positive result, t=1.497s Now: Horizontally: r=?, t=1.497s, u=12cos30=10.39m/s. u=v average=r/t...

    The projectile motion question

Well no, second actually, we have already finished section one, but otherwise yes most people do the space core modual first and that seems logical, since it's listed first in the syllabus. I found that question comparitively easy, relative to other past HSC papers.

    question 16 ?

Yeah thats the right answer 0.75MJ, but it is much easier to let 10,000km=r, then the question becomes algebraic rather that numerical. It's so tedious carrying lines of working with those extra numbers. We went throught this question in class after we finished section 1 in the space core...

Q16)A projectile leaves the gound at 40m/s (y-axis) and 45m/s (x-axis). Marks a)State the horizontal component of the projectile's velocity when it lands. 1 b)Find the magnitude of the initial velocity of the projectile. 1 c)Calculate the...

    Biology Preliminary Prac Exam!

Potentially every prac in the sylabuss could be covered. We had two pract tests one at the middle of term 2 and one only a week or so ago. The first one cover the first two topics and the secon covered the las two. For our last one, on Life on Earth, and Evolution of Australian Biota, we had...

I thought that the BOS decided that the science cources in the past were to demanding for students and so they weeded out alot of the syllabus. JONO

    Who hates physics?

I heard that its an entirly calculus based course, and the only reason calculus isn't in the HSC physics is because the board of studies does not expect that all physics candidates have sudied/ or are studying maths 2 unit/ 3unit/ 4unit. JONO

    Question

    Q) A proton of mass 1.67x10^-27 kg travelling with a speed of 1.20x10^7m/s collides with a stationary deuteron. After the collision, the proton rebounds in the direction that it came from, with a speed of 1.00x10^7m/s. The dueteron acquired a speed of 1.10x10^7 m/s. a) What is the mass of the...

    moles

The mole method is something like this: 1. -- write balence chemical equation 2. -- given the information in the question, find the moles of the substance which you know something about, (usually you'll be given the mass of the substance.) 3. -- determine the mole ratio of the mol of the...

3u topics: whats hard? whats not?

Circle geometry is only hard because there are so many proofs to remember and also you have to remember how to apply them. 3d trig isn't that hard if you CAN draw the driagrams correctly, otherwise its hard (i can never fully get them 100% drawn correctly). Parametrics are easy, polynomials are...
