    notes/past paper

If you use Roland Smith's Conquering chemistry, just do questions and exercises from that and that should help you prepare yourself. If you use a different text book, the same things apply, just do practice questions.

    chem help

This dot point basically means give reasons and report on what physical properties, metals and non-metals have that makes them relivent to an aplication in industry. For example1: Copper is an excellent conductor, second only to silver, also is very ductile, making it suitable for use in...

How was your 1st day of school?

Dawnting!!! Although i did see my science teachers having a word to some people who dont belong in physics about how they have to comit the effort, so that was good. Lexicographer? Is that a BoS member?.....*shrugs* Other then that i sort of enjoyed it other then the homework i already have!

Which Option/Elective Will You Be Doing?

I dont think spectromerty is in the physics syllabus, but none the less a previous knowledge of spectometry, DNA, and proteins would provide the basics for forensics. But i think a strong knowledge of organic chemistry (from POM) is also needed.

Which Option/Elective Will You Be Doing?

Well i think our school is doing Shiprecks, conservation and corrosion, topis, and i think i will understand forensics better.

Which Option/Elective Will You Be Doing?

I am really into forensics, and i am doing bio, chem & phys, i think i'll try forensics. Mainly because i am interested in it. Ask me a question on it and i'll be happy to answer it. Just not lengthly questions.

    Cycle of erosion?

By erosion do you mean the depletion of the ozone layer? If so: Ozone in the stratosphere is constantly being formed and decomposed by natural effects. The ozone formed strongly absorbs ultraviolet radiation and undergoes photochemical decomposition to form O2 and oxygen atoms. O3(g) -->O2(g) +...

radioisotopes in an identified industry.........(due in 1st week back!)

I found one thats much more interesting...Industrial Gamma Radiography Gamma rays are produced by a small pellet of radioactive material, eg are: cobalt-60 or iridium-192, in a sealed titanium capsual. The capsual is then placed on one side of the object being radiographed and the photographic...

    oxides of nitrogen?

Tecnically it is the MAIN cause of acid rain , however it doesn't mean that NO isn't also a contributer. Yes Nitrogen monoxide is always oxidising to nitrogen dioxide: 2NO (g) + O2(g) -->2NO2
  18. J

    oxides of nitrogen?

The answer to this is there are THREE main constitutes of nitrogen oxides, in acin rain. NO, NO2 and N2O. But The last two are sometime analysed together as NOx

    Who got holiday Homework :)

My mistake, the way or tone it which i expressed my obselete opinion, was a bit stupid...I do appreciate them! That being said i still don't like them, mainly english and engineering, the rest i enjoy! Any who, I was trying to be modest but i am sure it wasn't troubling them anyway, as i'm...
