That was in 2002.

He's 16 now, and I wonder what has happened to him in the intervening times?

I saw a link to a 15 year old sitting a HSC exam in another thread
She was the youngest last year to do a FULL HSC (i.e 10+ units). Its not unusual to get people younger doing single hsc subjects (like in this 12 year old's case).

Impressive nonetheless.

^Last year--HSC of 2005. She's a member of BOS here somehwere. It's not unusual for 12 year olds to sit the HSC in maths--last year, a guy at Sydney Tech was 12 years old when he also accelerated in 4U Maths.

Wow! He may become the next Amelia Joy Thompson. She started her HSC in Year 8 too. Wonder what she's doing now for uni?

WHY??!?? Im 17, in year 12, been thru all the schooling from preschool, kinder, irght up to yr 12 and im STILL not ready for the HSC, and i wont be either by my first exam on the 20th October! Why cant they just wait? Their time will come.

Oh well, if they are that smart then good luck to them. I feel sorry for their social lives tho.
