I know they moderate your assessment mark according to your hsc result but is it possible to have a 20%+ gap between your hsc (external) mark and your moderated (internal) mark???
for example moderated assessment mark- 75% hsc exam- 92%

It's possible if your performance in your HSC exam is considerably better than your performance in school.

yes, you could theroretically, say if you come last in your school rank, but somehow you ace the hsc externals then it is possible to have the 20% gap

Why would it do that ?

Your HSC exam mark and your moderated school assessment mark are different.
