You are at no disadvantage.

Yes it is, because you were still given two weeks advance for the previous notice.. as long as it's postponed to AFTER the exam, it's 'legal'

Hey, are you a Normo Boy???
Well, we are disadavantaged, along with NS Boys and Epping. Now I have 2 days with 2 exams each - 2hour paper and a 3 hour paper, one finishing after normal school time. As it is called a TRIAL HSC, surely the timetable should be indicative of that of the HSC? And we were disadvantaged by another school, who did the Catholic Trial too early (there was a date on the front!) - shouldn't they have to redo it, or can they disadvantage us - theoretically giving them an advantage, without punishment. Although not the students fault, something MUST be done. It also eats up our study time for other subjects as we must now spend time restudying for english - and having the stress of resitting them again.

Out of curiosity, why doesn't every high school in the state do the same trials. Again, it is the TRIAL HSC, a common test, so surely these should be. Maybe it should also be marked by independent markers, as some schools mark more harshly than others. Although time consuming, it would be much fairer.

Actually the paper the Cheltenham girls sat was NOT the catholic trial. It was their own paper, but some of the questions had being copied from the Catholic exam. So the date was not on the front....

anyway there is little point in getting cheltenham girls to redo it. That would just be stupid.

As well, if they ripped questions from the CATHOLIC TRIAL, they must still follow the release date

Edit button does exist. :)

Why is it stupid?
Beause the cheltenham girls got NO advantage from the situation.......Making them sit it again would do NOTHING.

And yes they must follow the release date, but they seem to have been hiding the fact they were using trial questions. But thats a matter for the staff there to work out.

Anyway, I do sympathise with you people. To make people do the exams again is stupid. you would only have probally 1 or 2 people (If that) at each school who knew the questions.....

Timmay actually took the xtreme step of ringing the BOS to bitch abt it - they shot him down pretty quickly. Im just pissed that at our school [NBHS] they've sandwiched the exams right between 4u Maths and Physics.

At least, I heard at Epping and NSBH they've rescheduled it for an extra week afterwards. Apparently our teachers are being lazy and want more time for marking - they did take five weeks for the Lear essay....

itz still an "internal exam".. da pt of it is ur rank in da skool..
if ur skool marks more harshly (lower markz) buh ur hsc mark is high.. ur marks will b pulled up.. it all evenz out.. in da end.. = = or as 'even out' as they can get..

btw.. strictly speakin u dunt need 2 weeks notice because u hav already studied and prepare for eng trials and any question they throw @ u *cough..
UNLESS u need 2 prepare bcus u r one of those who knew the cssa trial question beforehand and onli prepared for that.. THOSE ppl deserve it = =

or lik most oda ppl.. one is jus not prepared enof and 1 week is not enof 2 re-organise eng notes wif all da oda exam n assess due..
