How did everyone go in their School Certificate Trials? Did anyone get their results yet?

I did mine yesterday...We only did ones for English, History and Geography. English was easy and History was alright but I fucked up Geography....not that I care. I didn't really study and I made up a few fake statistics here and there...it makes it seem like I know something . I think we're getting our results back in a few weeks.

Did anyone do trials for maths and science?

I havent got all my trial results back:

Science 81% 1st/121 This test was screwed our school actually bought it from a company so the teachers culdnt help us, 5 questions were stuffed and we didnt get those marks GRRR .
Geography 46/50 1st /121 I just bullshited my way through it ))).
Maths 82% 15/121 This is the only test i didnt study for.
English 75% 10-15/121 We did the 2004 Sc exam for the english trials.

Still waiting for my history paper the teacher had the whole holidays to mark them and she still hasnt even started.

We did trials in all the core subjects English, Maths, Science, Geo/Hist as well as electives.
I didn't study for anything except math's as my results will prove:

English = 82%
Maths = 51%
Science = 96%
Geography = 66%
History = 64%

Not too sure about rankings at this stage - hopefully the trials won't give too much indication of how I'll go in the school certificate.

Yeah, we did ours last week. Don't have the results back yet, I think we get most of them tomorrow. I think I did rather well, but Geography was by far the hardest of them..it shall be interesting to see how I went..

I did my trials about a week ago (13th+14th)... and still havent got the results back, despite most of the teachers saying we would get them back by Friday (21st). The subjects we had to do were English, Science, Maths, History+Geography. I think I did pretty well in most of them, except the English one... My excuse is that my imagination's broke...

are u guys looking forward to the actual school certificate? It's getting really annoying now.I just want to get them over and done with as quickly as possible.

the markers mark SOOOO EASY in SC. DONT EVEN TOUCH A BOOK! omfg grrr school certificate is pointless, you forget it after youve done it!
YOU CANT FAIL IT unless you dont turn up to school for like the whole year... and results during the year dont count towards the exam like the HSC does.

also bludge year 11, its not worth anything either =)

English - 81% (did not study)
Geo - 75% (did not study)
History - 72% (did not study)
Science 84% (studied shitlaods)
Commerce - 96.5% (studied shitloads)
History elective - 82% ( did not study)
Maths - 93% (thats my ACTUAL trial mark, i got 85% in my yearly, we had like our yearly and then earlier this term something else called the trial, the other marks for other subjects are just my yearly results as we had no "Trial SC" for them.. did not study for the trial at all, but studied shitloads for the yearly x]

At our school all exams were scaled 10% due to the extreme difficulty of the exams. It was the first year our school actually DID write their own trials! I'm doing Science/English/AHGCC as an accelerant, I'll do math next year. With scaling I received:

103% for English (You've got to be happy with that!) 1st
96% for History 2nd
96% for Science 3rd
89% for Geography 5th (Boohoo this test was so lame!) I weeeeeeeeeep! No really one of the 5 mark Questions was: Describe Australia's changing indentity. HOW BROAD IS THAT!!!! But half the year failed so meh!

Wtf man.. instead of being accelerated in 4 of your subjects, why didn't you skip a grade..? And 10% scaling.. Highly doubtful that your tests were harder than mine..

Also that 5 mark questions. Broad questions usually are easiest... because you can write about A LOT of things..

Australia's changing identity is also a part of history, and having gotten 96% for History it could be assumed that you would know that..

ROFL i'm in year12 at a selective high... and back in year10 i didn't get marks anywhere near what you guys are getting >_> *feels rather stupid*

(I also don't get how you end up with 103% unless you mean everyone went UP by 10%... which is rather odd since scaling is meant to modify the standard deviation and so on, but noone should end up >100%)

maths: 96% (equal 5th in grade)
english: 78% ( screwed it up)
biology:87% ( accelerated)
commerce:90% ( liike 10th or something)
computing:70%
Latin: lets not go there!!! (56%)
History: 73%
geo: havn't got it back but i think i went alright!

Accelerated means that the student has been skipped ahead a year or two to do a particular subject.
