I feel sorry for everyone doing standard or advanced or extension English (unless they actually like English).
I only have 3 prescribed texts for the entire HSC course!

Did you not grow up here?
Is that why you're doing ESL?
TBH by looking at the way you type i'd never know you were an ESL kid
LOL

LOL..
I came to Australia about 3 and a half years ago. That's why.
(To be elligible for ESL English, one will have to have stayed here for less than 5 years until the end of HSC year.)

Adv English.
How crappy is doing speeches.
Personally i got really bored reading them with the exception of Atwoods, but thats just because her style appealed to me.
i liked speeches!!
atwood was my least favourite!
despise that speech!

Really?
Why did you dislike it?
I find that speeches tend to get very repetitive and boring and by the end of the lesson i find myself zoning out.
But maybe thats just me and my short attention span.

I only learnt very basic stuff before coming here. I.e. about how much people would learn if they do language continuers for their HSC. For this reason, I hated English and history (particularly textbooks that goes on and on about an event..) in year 9 and 10.

Btw, my first language is Korean.

Ahh.
Well i haven't heard you speak, but going by the way you type and your grammar, i'd say you're going to top ESL ;D

Re: English Level

our class has 5 people 4/5 do work/assignments, the other hasn't even done the assignment from term 1 , she tried to do term 2 and did absolutely wrong, not even close to topic DRACULA and EMO MUSIC (she didn't even have emo bands this is just some of what she had, Blink 182, Sum 41, Rise Against, & Bon Jovi) she is really stupid, as is the teacher.
WHAT?! blink 182? bon jovi? RISE AGAINST?! EMO?!!!! stupid bitch!
