I did about half of that in travel each day for a semester in 1st year way back when in '06.

Imagine all the study you could get done!! Sleep is for the weak.

Oh, poor Hag. The commute is exhausting. I can offer advice however. Watch me, oh wise commuter speak to the:

1) Find a way to study OR Take a fully charged iPod or Book/Newspaper.
2) Take a bottle of water AND/OR small snack. Trains get delayed...Air con breaks etc. BE PREPARED!
3) If prone to motion sickness, do not get on a train on an empty stomach, nor should you sit facing backwards.
4) Find out which train the high school students get and avoid this at all cost. (Especially on sports days when the Hunter Sports High kids obviously drench themselves in pure sweat.)
5) Do not expect to run to the timetable. You will only get your hopes up and develop a nasty case of "Shitty Rail Commuter Rage".
