No more than she always has, so i'll say no. She has been fairly unbiased.

Newspoll results aren't good for Gillard.

It is interesting to see some Labor figures tipping Shorten to be PM at the end of the week in a compromise deal.
I hope he takes over. Ive got $ on him to lead at this election and let me tell you, he is paying good odds

Labor seats to be halved in 2013 election under the leadership of Julia Gillard.
Labor is forecasted to hold just 36 seats out of the total of 150 seats in the federal parliament after the 2013 election. According to Labor polling Labor is on track to lose up to 35 seats of the 71 seats at the federal election. Furthermore, Labor Independents Craig Thomson and Peter Slipper are forecast to lose their seats. Labor Independent MP Andrew Wilkie and Greens MP Adam Bandt are set to hold onto their seats. Also the Labor Independents Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor could lose their seats by huge swings against them if they don't sustain hard work. Julia Gillard and federal Labor is headed for its worst federal election defeat in Australian political history. However, if Kevin Rudd became PM of Australia, federal Labor could save at least 20 seats and possibly even win the next federal election. Kevin Rudd could even be elected as Prime Minister after the 2013 election and most likely to form a Labor/ Independents/ Greens Alliance and return Labor to power if a hung parliament eventuated.

Gillard has asked for a show of hands from Labor members who do and don't support her.

Gillards in trouble. Windsor standing down has thrown momentum behind Rudd camp. Most news websites now have rolling coverage.

Bob Katter announces at press conference that he will support a Rudd return and provide his vote in a vote of confidence for Labor if required.

So even if Oakeshott and Windsor voted with Abbott, Labor would survive any no confidence motion.

Probably a dumb question but would the Ruddmeister be able to bet on stuff like this and then just clean up since he controls the outcome? This is certainly illegal right?

I'm not entirely sure to be honest.

I believe it is illegal for sporting players to bet on themselves for a given outcome if it is shown that they pulled up short to get that outcome etc.

I'm friends with a guy who was interviewed by police a couple of years back for the Ryan Tandy NRL scandal. In that event Tandy was charged by police as he deliberately tried to alter the outcome.

At the end of the day, it could be done through others. No problem doing it on the election. Tandy got caught because it was such an obscure market he rigged that it was suspicious when a huge flux of money came in for it and then it did occur.

I think Rudd has bigger things to worry about though.

Those who took the Libs at 1.09 (way overjuiced) etc thinking it would be easy money will be a bit concerned.

No this can't be true.

All this leadership talk is a media invention. Labor has always been one big happy family. There's nothing happening at all!
