I believe Tony Abbott is an absolute disgrace and is a policy weakling. Tony Abbott is very incompetent and is a coward. Mr Abbott and the Coalition should turn the bull and engage in a policy debate with the Prime Minister. Just maybe Mr Abbott can prove to the Australian people that he is a safe pair of hands when it comes to our economy. Tony Abbott should be willing to debate Mr Rudd on immigration, carbon pricing and the economy. As a voter in Liberal heartland I feel a sense of frustration with Mr Abbott and I am continually staggered by Mr Abbott's sheer incompetence. I will not be voting Liberal in the 2013 federal election. Tony Abbott is the most dangerous Liberal leader since John Hewson. I expect Kevin Rudd to win the next federal election with the same level of support he had in the 2007 federal election. Tony Abbott's climate change policy is absolute shambles and a fraud on the Australian people. Abbott is a climate change denier. I think that Tony Abbott should bite the bullet and me too Mr Rudd's climate change policy of a market price of $6.20 per tonne of pollution in 2014. Mr Rudd is going to win the majority of the seats in Queensland. The majority of Australians believe that Mr Rudd's carbon pricing policy is in Australia's best interests.

Rudd leans to October/ November election.
The Rudd govt is seat to hold off the federal election until October and possibly November. The advice to PM Rudd is that delaying the election for at least a month is in the best interests of the Labor party to rework policies and spending priorities. Labor strategists believe that Labor will consolidate the two party vote and build the foundations to a majority government. Rudd says that he doesn't want to make the mistake of Gillard of going to an early election and needs to consolidate his power.

Betting markets loses credbility.
Sportsbet polling day odds correctly predicted the outcome in 147 of the 150 electorates in the 2010 federal election. As of yesterday, Sportsbet estimates Labor's chances of election victory to be only 23 per cent. Newspoll in the 2010 federal election leading up to polling day predicted the Australian Labor Party to win 50.2 per cent of the two party preferred vote. Actually the federal Labor party managed to win with 50.12 per cent of the two party vote.

What Sportsbet predicted in 2013 under PM Gillard was 49 seats for Labor, 95 seats for Coalition and 6 seats for others. Under PM Rudd 56 seats for Labor, 88 seats for Coalition and 6 seats for others.
I too read the AFR...

That statement does not do anything to discredit the betting markets, and actually leads to the conclusion that Newspoll overrated Labor's 2PP

I'll just leave this here
The Australian Labor Party will not be reinstating Kevin Rudd because he is deemed a crypto fascist. Rudd in his control freak and has a gang of four that usurps the proper Cabinet process. Kevin Rudd was not a team player and had no respect for due process. Julia Gillard works in a consensus, collegial and consultative style of leadership. Gillard builds bridges with the Australian people and runs a very controlling and conservative government.

I withdraw my previous anti- Rudd statements and move a motion of confidence in the Prime Minister of Australia. I have been saying that Rudd would make a great Prime Minister of Australia if he returned to the position of PM and that day has come.

Yeah I dont agree that a lot of people care about it anymore. If it had come out initially, and that Australia played a large role maybe there would have been a backlash.

And if anyone was genuinely surprised that the US was collecting information through the cybersphere then I pity you.

the majority of people who would really care about news of american internet snooping were never going to vote for the liberals, or were always going to preference labor over liberals, anyway.

Both Labor and Coalition are right of centre political parties and support extravagant spending on national security. Phone hacking and internet hacking are done by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation to manage the risks of organised crime networks. Federal Labor is tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime. Some people were saying that the carbon tax was implemented to raise money for the government to fund national security policies. Even though pollution has gone down by 8 per cent since 2012, the carbon tax is a revenue raising mechanism.

This week’s Morgan Poll, the third since Kevin Rudd became Prime Minister, shows another significant swing to the ALP. The ALP 54.5% (up 3% since last week’s multi-mode Morgan Poll of June 28-30, 2013) is now further ahead of the L-NP 45.5% (down 3%) on a two-party preferred basis.

I don't doubt that, but not to get too side tracked, but don't you find that interesting? In that Labor voters tend to favor a large state - until it starts snooping into their personal lives. Whereas liberals would generally favor a small state - but I get less outraged at this sort of thing.
