whats the difference between music 1 & 2??
The HSC for music 1 is 80% consisting of 4 electives (any configuration of performance, viva voce or composition I believe) and 20% is a 1 hour aural exam
The HSC for music 2 has one performance, composition, musicology (more music theory oriented) and a 1.5 hour aural exam (the part that surprised me was that you have to sight-sing a melody for one of the exams)
The content for music 2 is much more in-depth, about the different music styles like Baroque as far as I know.
Music 1 is much more performance oriented, since my class chose 4 performances for their electives.

My main premise was to take music 1 over sor; even though I'd have an extra unit, its another non-theory subject that relieves some stress from the exam block

I found that a really easy way to practice writing introductions fast, is to just answer the question in one or two lines (thesis statement). Coming up with a good thesis was the hardest thing to do in my intro, but I can do it in 3 minutes which is promising. From that thesis, if you can also do topic sentences for your paragraphs in another 5 minutes, it would be a great way to ensure your arguments are sound.
