Do you have mixed feelings and views on this? Do they deserve death? Do you think suicide was an act of repetence?

I cant help but feel digusted for the parents and kids violated by the initial act, but then somewhat sympathy for both sides - and to a minute level, the mental torment those who committed suicide must have been going through before they went through with it.

Is justice served?

Think about it. If they were caught for having child pornography and they offed themselves, I think they might be hiding a shitload more...

That said, pictures of anyone had to come from somewhere. The untold suffering of the very young children in those pictures is uncomprehendable and not understandable. It is terribly horrifying that people like this exist. Whilst I believe that the three very main purposes of our legal system are incapacitation, retribution and rehabilitation. In a situation such as this, rehabilitiation is neigh impossible.

It is such a sickening topic i cant understand how people can resort to such measures to keep themselves 'satisfied'. Gough Whitlam and BreaKing have a point. The children involved in these cases will grow up with a high suicide rate because of the psychological damage that has been caused.

Additionally, these people are well respected members of the community, or were. Their life is over, regardless of the prison sentence because noone will associate with them anymore. Many of these people are in positions where they come into contact with children, so they'll loose their jobs etc etc.

these people are respectable members of the community, yes, but they have ben placed in a position of power and have abused this. such crime is looked down and humiliation and shame should be brought to these people by being made public and jail sentencing is definitely not served- it pays to not only the children, but the families and friends of the child. there will be no satisfaction, replacement or monetary value that can change what has been done

i'm sure a person can resist themselves to setting up videocameras in primary school change rooms asquith. It really isnt that hard. I mean, this does not involve one person and it is a joint effort to set up camera/surveillance because schools are built on the basis of the community and thus additions like video cameras must be propsed and agreed by community members before implemented
