umm, no offense to anyone, i think your talking about hte shia part of muslims. I am not shia. I am a Sunni.

hang on a second, isnt the beating yourself with chains celebrated by Shia's during ramadhan? Or was it on the occasion of the death of Ali? I dunno, as i said, im not a Shia.
