99.7+ UAI without getting a Top 20/10/5 ranking?? (1 Viewer)

Is there anybody here who either got a UAI of 99.7+ or knows someone who got 99.7+ but who didn't come in the top 20/10/5 for any of their subjects?? I've talked to a few people who got 99.85, 99.9, 99.95 and they all came in the top 20/10/5 for at least one of their subjects...scary!

it's certainly possible if they do well in all their subjects.

have a play with sam and get a feel for what sort of marks you need to get to achieve a uai in that sort of range. you don't need to excel in a particular course (although it helps if you don't do so well in another).

Well, had my girlfriend not done French, and done 2 marks better in Modern History (which doesn't put her in the top 20), she's still on a SAM 2003 UAI of 99.95

So it's possible.

Hmm...tried that - figured out that I need to get ~92 aligned for all of my subjects to get 99.5 and 96 aligned to get ~99.85 . It looks like I have a lot of hard work cut out for me this year.

So many people on BoS got 99.95. Considering that only ~40 guys get 99.95 in the state, a lot of you must congregate here

Whoa - a UAI of 100 obviously needs around 96-97 in every subject.

You must've come very close to coming in the top 20 in Physics, since first got 98.

yes, sorry got confused there. - 97 hsc mark but only 95 assessment.
others are right.
