A film that relates to these texts (1 Viewer)

Can anyone name a film which is similar to Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and Rain Man the film in the fact where the protagonist wants to or gets a fortune yet they lose it in the end and they look beyond it.

The only film i got in mind is Mr.Deeds ... which i don't think is very good (says my teacher =( )
