A good way to study

We do this in the legal forum and it's pretty helpful

Heres how it works...

one person asks a question then the next person posts the answer and a new question for the next person to answer and so on....

production orientation:
Heavy consumer demand
Emphasis on quantity and reducing costs
Focus on improving efficiency and production process
occured from 1900s to 1930s

ER is the management of the total relationship between the employer and employee. I think. lol. Am I right?? I havent looked into my book

What are the different types of industrial actions, giving examples of both actions taken by the employer and the employee.

yep ur right :)
the different types of industrial actions are overt and covert
Examples include lockouts, pickets, strikes, bans & work-to-rules.
overt is open and obvious and covert is disguised or less open
Examples includeabsenteeism, sabotage, staff turnover & exclusion from decision making

Unitary - workers and employers have a common goal, breach of this is seen as disloyalty
Traditional - conflict is seen as negative for the business' image and management must resolve
Interactionist - conflict seen as a means of determining problems within a business ??

depends..

in a centralised system unions have a large role. They negotiate and represent employees, and assist in collective bargaining (certified agreements), and AWA's.

Employer associations obviousely represent employers :p

however under a decentralised system there is little role of Unions and, largely left up to the bargaining power of employees and employers.

sorry, i believe that is wrong.

Unitary: no fundemental conflict between employyees and employer. However if there is a problem it is seen as due to bad communication and bad management

Plurist: conflict is seen as inevitable, and is managed with the help of unions and outside help

Radical: workers and employers are seen to be working against eachother
