Re: A First Year's Guide to University

Wow, such a thorough guide. Thank you OzKo!

Also, when do I create my timetable? (Starting BCom @UNSW - 3rd March)
It's best to ask in the UNSW forum but from what I understand, you can enrol (and create your timetable) immediately after you accept your offer through UNSW's online portal.

Thanks! I think I'm going to create it instantly for a flexible one.

Re: A First Year's Guide to University

I remember my biggest mistake when I first entered Uni: I did not start my work immediately after the first lecture, because I was thinking it was only the first week, I could take some time and play. Then I never realized how quickly work would pile up and at one point it snowballed into a huge burden. Lesson learn: be ready and study hard since the first day in class TT___TT

Good list. Pretty clear and helpful. Everything depends on the class schedule.
