hey i'm just wondering what kind of mark on the actual hsc paper would equate to "100%"??? i know that people get 100% yet just wanted to know what out of 120 (?) would they perhaps have gotten for that.... same with extension 1??? thanks this might be a bit impossible to answer because we're not the board of studies but any rough ideas would be nice.. thank you!

The HSC mark isn't a percentage, if you want "100%" then get 120, if you a HSC mark of 100 get around 110+/120, but really depends on the year and the difficulty of the paper. But I'm sure for 2006 the highest raw mark for the MX2 paper was probably 100%.

If you want some indication to get 90 external mark for MX2 you should aim for around 80+/120, but really depends on the difficulty and harder test could mean 70+/120 could get you a 90

It's certainly possible, a mark of 120/120 was achieved last year. I don't think 110/120 makes 100, because before last year, the top mark was generally 99 and those people got the answers out for every single question except for 1 or 2 questions or a small silly mistake. Surely the top students from 2001 to 2005, did not get below 110/120.
For Extension 1, a mark of 100 is a always a raw mark of 84/84 and it is achieved every year. A big surprise was that no one got 100 for 2 unit Mathematics in 2006, the top mark was only 99 (i.e. no one got every question).

Steph got 118/120, that equated to 100.

Anthony Henderson, 1993
I googled his name and now he's apparently a PhD working at Sydney Uni so he's not bad at maths.

Anthony Henderson was the lecturer for Differential Calculus Advanced and the tutor for some of the tutorials of that first year unit. I see him like every week.

By the way, where did the 118/120 raw mark come from? I thought the Board of Studies has refused to release raw marks ever since 2005.

Not really, in previous years the top HSC mark was 99, though that turned into a scaled mark (not HSC mark) of 100 anyway.
Also, if Anthony Henderson was the only one supposedly known to have got full marks in 1993, why was he placed equal first with some girl from Meriden School?

Henderson's my tutor as well-he also topped the state in 10 of his units- and trebla, steph asked them for her raw mark apparently(u can like pay and get ur mark or something-vinh told me in front of steph and steph didn't contradict him-hence i'm pretty sure about it). Btw I wonder if i see u-what's ur proper name(like not bos lol)

A 112+ would probably give u a 99 for our exam kony-mind u i'm not 100% sure what i got
