At unsw if you get this you get an extra 5 marks towards your degree, however does this combine with academic advantage.

I.e course requirements are 99.95 and I get 91

91 + (5marks from academic advantage) + (AAA bonus points) = enough to get into the course


Also even though 90 may be low for the scholarship but no one wants to go to unsw from my school just sysney

AAA is different to academic advantage

Academic advantage is if you get certain bands in subjects you get bonus points

AAA goes to the highest atar person who goes to unsw ( it comes with 4k and 5 extra points

I think you mean the "HSC Plus" system at UNSW.

Anyway, Law doesn't have bonus points anyway, so you wouldn't get the HSC Plus bonus points, so if you got a 90 ATAR, you wouldn't get into UNSW Law, based on the AAA.

It's not "bonus points"; it's, if you're within 5 ATAR points from the cutoff, you are guaranteed an offer.

Get 95+ ATAR, get an AAA = win at life (unless you want to Medicine, which I believe is the only course which doesn't accept AAA points)

To be honest I would like to do a Economics degree with a commerce degree which is about a 96.

I said Law as it was a extremely high ATAR requirment and such



So say i didn't do to well and i got 86 (WHich includes all bands 5's/6's)

With that 86, i would get an extra 5 bonus marks to HSC Plus (Academic advantage) but would i also get AAA points?

This is my main question.

As i have a feeling i could very well get the AAA nomination at my school as i believe i am on of the few whom are planning or going to have a preference to go to UNSW

The following degrees are NOT included in HSC Plus:

• B Commerce (Co-op)
• Commerce (International)
• Diploma in Science, Engineering and Technology
• Combined Law
• Medicine/Surgery
• Optometry/Science
• Psychology
• Psychological Science
• ADFA Chief of Defence Force Special Programs (CDFSP)

All other UNSW undergraduate degrees are included

I'm pretty sure bonus marks were applicable to law previously. However the AAA thing isnt HSC+, I think it gives you guaranteed offers to any course if your within 5 ATAR marks excluding med.

AAA along with other kinds of bonus points (from DOE, instruments? etc.) are definitely applicable for law.
