Absence Limit (1 Viewer)

does anyone know the limit to the number of days a student can
be absent from school?

It'd be good to have it in days and not a percentage.

I think all the days you missed goes into the letter of recommendation that your school writes for ya..... I'm not exactly sure....

I'm quite sure the BoS requires u to attend 80% of your classes. But at my skool, we have 90% attendance policy.

anyways i always get above 90% fo my attendance so thats good enuff fo me.. hehe

I know exactly how you feel. I love sleeping and i AM lazy in general. As for attendance you have to miss over 40% of your classes to not qualify for the HSC.

I'm quite sure there is no actual 'amount', per se, that you can/cannot miss. It's a letter of concern written by the school to both (a) the student/parent, then (b) Bored of Studies.

Doesn't it depend on the hours of class you've attended? like you need 200 hours of English..?

Not 100% sure, but you fail year 11 at my school if you miss 15% of school days

I thought that you have to attend 80-85% of your classes in the school year, and if you don't attend without a valid reason (like being sic etc), the teachers and BoS CAN fail you right there and then.
