Advanced English Prelim Paper (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I'm going to do my adv english paper 1 on Monday and it requires a short response, creative writing about a physical journey and an essay question about huck finn and 2 other prescribed texts. Can someone please help me in the creative writing, any ideas and if anyone has done the paper as my essay about huck finn and 2 prescribed texts were bad and i need a new essay to make.
Any suggestions about what the question might be?

hm, well i dunno, for my trial we had this really obscure question that asked about what journeys show about reflections on past present and future? just know your texts inside out, have about 20 quotes and plenty of techniques up your sleeve and be sure to fully understand all aspects of the journey. what are ur subtexts?

well one of my subtext was Amistad but i don't plan on using it as i got a bad mark in it (8/15) and so im looking into god ones to make. Mainly im gonna try memorising techniques and the intro of my essay. Hopefully i can change it into the question

Uhh, we did the Creative Writing Section in our Paper 1.. You're doing Paper 1, I presume?
We got the weirdest question (but we got an option)
We had to write about either,
A: The path at the start of the journey is narrow, but the path is wide at the end (or something like that)
B: In a journey, there is a gate that sometimes can't be crossed (or something like that)
I nearly cried when I read that 'cause I pre-wrote mine, and I had absolutely no idea how I could merge it into any of these options

Section I = Comprehension stuff
Section II = Creative Writing
Section III = Prescribed texts etc. essay thingo

Haven't done my paper 2 yet

yeah thats the setting for our paper too!, omg this might be the same paper we do! this question is terrible,, omg wat was the comprehension like?

Haha, well if it IS the same..
The compreshension was just like the past papers
There was an image, an extract from a story or something, and something else (can't remember, sorry)

The image was of a worn out shoe. Then there was written text underneath the shoe describing the long tiring journey of a man or something
Pretty much, you relate that story to the worn out shoe because.. Well the worn out shoe represents a long tiring journey

Yeah I don't remember much but it wasn't that hard
Don't spend too much time on it
However, the 5 mark question for the comprehension asked you to compare 2 of the texts or something

I'm not even sure if it was about physical journeys

Not sure, but yeah our papers were probably different anyway

Paper 1 Goes:

Section 1 - Short Answer on unseen text types regarding the concept.

Section 2 - Creative writing on the concept.

Section 3 - Synthesis response on the concept.

Our exam was hard.

Section 1 took me 1 hour so I had to power through an narrative in 20 minutes to give myself 40 minutes for an essay.

It was very difficult. Very.
