Wasn't too hard except Mod B, how do they expect us to answer a question solely based on one character :(

Yeats was hard imo the strengths and weaknesses bit I BSed.

KRIII and LFR was okay inferiority I tried to adapt.

Mod C politics was hard because they used such weird words like contest and battle.

Does anyone do The Hours and Mrs Dalloway for Mod A??? Cause the question was so specific!!! narrowing it down to mortality cut a lot of my prepared stuff out. what did you guys write about??

anyone do Donne and W;t? That question was absolute bollocks. How do the texts portray love?? I only had quotes about mortality and repentance. I used those quotes to discuss Donne's love for life and Vivian's love of Donne's poetry lmao.
Ye did Donne and W;t also, and my memorised essay was also on mortality, life and death etc. To be honest I wasn't too alarmed, since the way I interpreted love, wasn't necessarily "love from one person to another", but more - love for an idea/value system. In saying that, I linked how donne's love for God and religion is reportrayed by his passion for religion (which is basically just concepts on life death etc.)

But ye dw, most people in my grade also paniced over that Q :p

For that module, since its your own critical analysis of the text, i don't think it would of hurt to disagree partially with the statement. So what I talked about was how there are only strengths, no weaknesses. And how hamlets character, because he is an unconventional hero, it enables a cathartic connection between the responder and hamlets character - by introspection

fcking same about mod c. People at my school apparently just wrote that there was no political contest and talked about the mob mentality or something- theres no chance for contest...

Mod A's W;t and Donne was about how love is reportrayed in Donne and w;t, something along those lines
Mod B's Hamlet was about how Hamlet as a play, has unconvetional characters. This is a strength. And this is a weakness.
Mod C's Brave New World was about how politics is the battle of ideas.

1.Donne(portrayed love in his religious society) (Past contemporary value)

2.Love is reimagined as knowledge, Vivan Bearing loves knowledge. (Reimagined present contemporary value

3. The theme of love is prevalent in john donne poetry.

4. The theme of love is not present in W;t poetry(mechanical like medical jargon, lack of connection between patients and doctors etc etc)

EZ

Why is everyone concerned about the strengths and weaknesses part? It was merely one component of the question you still had to talk about unique voices, tension, real/imagined and personal view for Yeats. Anyone else talk about Yeats poetry containing only strengths and no weaknesses? I don't think you could really justify any weaknesses in his poems as they conveyed real world truths in an imagined setting.

Mod A (Shakespeare/Machiavelli) and Mod C (Brave New World) I found alright

But the end of me was Mod B (Yeats)! My class only spent like one lesson studying Among School Children!
