I was in your exact same position when I graduated in '09. I missed out on vet by like half a mark. Even though animal and veterinary bioscience has a really low atar cutoff and it might seem like a waste, it's really the only course that can offer you experience which you can fill into your commitment statement once you try to transfer.And we do have a couple of classes with the vet people.
Anyway this reply is probs too late cos offers come out soon but if you really want to do vet science, Adelaide is fairly easy to get into. The cutoff is only 94ish with no stat or interviews needed. And it's great for animal handling because it's more rural than Sydney.
