advice on BA Development Studies? (1 Viewer)

hey guys...im a new member and just found this forum on ANU. im finishing my HSC and cant wait to get to ANU...k im lying - im frikin ecstatic!
anyway - i was wondering if anyone here does BA development studies and if so
- how do you find it?
- any advice?
- what are your job prospects?

I don't do it but my take on job prospects is:

DFAT (beware VERY limited spaces VERY competitive application process)
AusAid
NGO's
the UN.

I'd be aware of specialising that early eg maybe just enrol in a BA and take units like you were in a DA (DS) so you get a taste for it, or whateever you can always transfer out if you don't like it.

Can't recall what courses are required but you should definantly do Micro and Macro 1 to broaden your understanding of the issues.
